A Florida teacher who was accused of having White students in his classroom bow to Black students is on leave.
Ethan Hooper, a middle school teacher in Orlando, posted the videos to his personal social media which went viral after being shared by the popular right-wing account Libs of TikTok.
One of the videos Hooper posted showed White students acting like servants to Black students in the class in honor of Black History Month. White students were shown in the video fanning and feeding Black students.
"It was in good fun. There was no political agenda behind it," the teacher said. He said the video was being "maliciously used."
"I am deeply apologetic toward the students and parents of those involved. I am also sorry to the students who weren’t involved," Hooper said. "I want to be an example for them. If this does not match up with what they viewed [of me], I am truly sorry. My heart is for my students and the parents, first and foremost."
The Orange County Public School District issued a statement saying that it will "not tolerate the use of our children as political pawns by anyone, including a classroom teacher. Any employee who creates videos or other content with students in an effort to exploit them for political purposes will be immediately removed from the classroom, placed on administrative leave, and swift action will be taken to terminate employment."

Sounds good to me. But it shouldn’t be just for creating videos. Any politization and repression of opinion should be forbidden, whether one makes a video of it or not.

Many high school students ended up going to “teacher’s colleges” because they couldn’t get in elsewhere.

Riiiiiiight. How much of the ‘approved’ curriculum is ‘political?’ They just won’t admit it. When you have a crisis, a child is a terrible thing to waste on reading, writing, and arithmetic. How many of the children’s parents have been forced into in-service trainings about white privilege? Unconscious bias? There are professors teaching young skulls full of mush that ‘being white’ is automatically being racist. YOU have no say in this. Bow to any non-white and plead forgiveness.
Then there is Global Cooling, Global Warming, Climate Change, Climate Crisis, Climate Armageddon. They teach that any adult, including your parents, who do not bow at the altar of AlGore and his minions, they are killing, destroying the planet, killing the future. (A judge in England ruled that if a school were to use the ridiculous AlGore ‘movie’ Inconvenient Truth, the school had to point out all the lies and inaccuracies).
Also, there are schools that ask a battery of personal questions far outside of the classroom. Some of the questions are asking about firearms in the home. Instead of teaching them about the Bill of Rights and the Constitution that protects individuals, no matter their race, creed, religion, etc, they hone in on danger of self protection.
None of this is considered ‘political’ because in order to teach in many schools, you have to drink the leftist kool-aid. Remember that Project Veritas video of the school administrator explaining how any Christian, Catholic, conservative, and older applicants were never hired. The older applicants, according to the administrator, were too stuck in their ways, and could not be molded into good little commies. The school system wasn’t really mad at the administrator, they were just mad he/they were caught.
But none of this is considered ‘political.’ When you only talk with like-minded kool-aid drinkers, and with their hiring practices, they will not have to hear any other facts or opinions, you eventually believe there are no other facts or opinions. When you hear something contrary to the political doctrine, it does not compute, and must be deleted from existence.
Come to think of it, the Obama / Biden Regime bowed to our enemies, while treating essential allies as second class, or worse. The kids in the video were just getting ready for the future, the future the liberal fascists envision.

It is not something any teacher should lose a job over, unless the method is banned by district or state regulation.
TBH, I’ve heard worse apologies than his. At least he didn’t, as so often happens these days only apologize “to those who were offended,” words that imply it was the fault of others for getting so worked up about it.
Maybe they should try educating the kids instead of this crab.
My husband was reading another article which said this teacher was “making the white students participate” in the making these videos and they were skits mocking DeSantis’s laws on CRT and removing the porn books in the kids libraries. It wasn’t in “good fun”. it was a hate exercise, period!
