Pro surfer Bethany Hamilton says she does not intend to participate in upcoming World Surf League events after the organization announced a change in policies that will allow trans women to compete in women's events.
In two different videos shared to Instagram, Hamilton said she believes she is speaking up for other pro surfer women who fear being "ostracized" for having the same opinions.
The World Surf League this month announced plans to adopt the International Surfing Association’s policy, which requires trans athletes seeking to compete in the women’s division to maintain a testosterone level less than 5 nonomoles per liter (nmol/L) for the previous 12 months.
In her video, Hamilton questioned this policy. “Is a hormone level an honest and accurate depiction that someone indeed is a male or female? Is it as simple as this?” she asked. In her follow up video, she questioned the policy again. "Am I just a hormone number? Is it as simple as that?"

You may recall Bethany as the young woman who lost one of her arms to a shark attack, but who came back from that to become a world cjhampion in surfing.
Why?
Women are equal and want equal pay.
We watched a docudrama about her a few years ago. It was pretty apparent she came from a strong Christian family.
Bless her heart. I hope people listen. Surfing has gone way too far left for me. My fav way of life/sport has been taken over by hipsters and immoral virtue signaling fools.
👍🏄
May the Lord bless her!
Good for her. All genuine women should just sit one year of everything out.
Imagine the videos.
The Lord has blessed her in spite of her lost arm. She is an amazing athlete. She stands 5’11” and coordinates that tall frame remarkably. Oh, and she is married with three children and continues to share the Gospel.
That’s how you fix it but it’ll take a majority to be effective
This is the only way to end this madness.
What is a ‘nonomole’ other than a typo?
It has to be done. It’s the only way to stop this stuff.
Probably a typo for nanomole. A mole is 6.02E+23 of something, and is a standard SI unit. It’s commonly used in chemistry referring to a number of atoms or molecules. Deriving the meaning of nanomole is left as an exercise to the reader.
All the women should boycott.
Her boycott will be meaningless unless all the other women follow. It’s up to them, and they may as well understand that the brandon gang would prefer to send ukraine weapons for their war than to women for their war.
I do understand why she would do it.
Most can’t afford to unless they already have money.
I know the names of zero professional female surfers except her, and hers is known for the price she paid…
I think the vast majority of people know men are physically dominant.
More so men than women.
Anytime I see some cute white girl go trail running, I hope she knows tv and movies are BS…
Our society is extremely disturbed at this point.
It would have been nice if people stepped up way before this, like when inferior women wanted to serve in combat MOS positions.
The destruction of our military means a lot more to me than chick surfing.
I agree about the military. But I also think it’s about a little more than chick surfing. It’s a war on gender, and women are the main victims. And unless they join up en masse to fight by boycotts and other means, it’ll be lost because human nature guarantees that it will get worse. If we don’t value women as co-inhabitors of the earth with us, we don’t survive, as they gradually get wiped out by pretenders who are incapable of reproducing.
We are here because of women voting.
They were fine with faggots getting married.
They were fine with initiating the vast majority of divorces.
They were fine with the 1965 Immigration Act.
They want free government money.
They are the ones responsible for the problem, and they are responsible for fixing it. After a couple dozen times of seeing far superior men passed up for promotion for women and minorities, I quit caring.
This is the world they created.
