How boring. And stupid.
Lucasfilm has added another retcon to the Star Wars saga, and it is almost as bad and stupid as George Lucas changing the fact that Han Solo shot first in the Tatooine tavern.
Luke Skywalker is gay. Canonically, as they say–means that Disney has officially endorsed the claim that the iconic character is gay.
In 1977 this would have been a stunning and brave revelation. Today it is dull and silly. A concession to the nutty idea that films should have “representation” for every variation of the human experience.
The idea has been floating out there for a while, but it gained prominence when the Star Wars Wiki officially listed Luke as an LGBTQ+ character. This generated conversation, and apparently, the judgment was based upon a short story released by Lucasfilm. Ol’ Luke himself, Mark Hamil, has endorsed the idea and it is now considered to be officially true.
Luke Skywalker is now LGBTQ+ according to Star Wars community, Mark Hamill

The Post Millennial did a deep dive into the subject so I don’t have to. Go read their story to get the scoop on the whole drama and a flavor for the celebrations being held among the alphabet people. The retcon in itself is just a tedious reminder of how silly the whole rewriting of our culture to fit the woke agenda has eroded our cultural mythos.
The real irony is that Lucasfilm turned Luke Skywalker into a truly pathetic character over the years, to elevate their chosen “Mary Sue” named Rey, a female who is superior to him in every way. Luke became a pathetic old man living alone on an island, drinking blue milk from disgusting space cows, while Rey bests him in everything.
As we all know, a male–even a gay male–is inferior to strong, brave, hypercompetent women, who are in turn inferior to transwomen, especially if they are minorities. The intersectional hierarchy demands it, so turning Luke Skywalker into a pathetic gay man is a huge step down from the original kinda whiny Luke Skywalker who was always the least interesting of the main characters in Star Wars, played by the least competent of the original cast’s actors.
I’d take Han Solo anytime, and Leia in her slave suit every single time!
Still, Luke was a great character, if Hamill wasn’t quite up to the task of embodying him. Lucasfilm systematically destroyed him to create what the Critical Drinker (NSFW) called “diverse female Space Jesus”
If you have time, watch the whole thing. If not, at least watch his take on how the character of Luke was destroyed by the final trilogy.
Disney has been on a mission to not only rewrite the entire canon of Star Wars, or the Disney film library, but of our culture itself. Their goal is to propagandize to children their version of what society should look like. And that future they are trying to create is a utopia where everybody has a letter in the alphabet of oppression.
At least for Disney, it’s not working. They are trying so hard to accomplish this task that they are churning out tedious movies and TV shows, and the audience shrugs and moves on. Ron DeSantis is vanquishing them by shining a light on their idiocy. They made a mistake taking him on. Just look at their stock price!
So should anybody care that Luke now has his own letter on the great alphabet of oppression?
I would if I were a gay man. I’d be pissed. I would want nothing to do with that grouchy, incompetent old hermit.
I always assumed he was banging Leia before he found out she was his sister. Maybe after too.
“That goes counter to how he acted in the first movie. Seemed to have a crush on Leia.”
Yes he did, but secretly, his sister was actually his brother, pretending to be a girl to better hide from Darth Vader. As you know, you can’t hide that kind of thing from the Force, so he knew full well and all along that Leia was born Lee.
C3P0 and R2D2?
Think Mr. Winter and Mr. Kidd from Diamonds Are Forever:
This is the new 'Dizzy' Studios 'woke' Star Wars universe!
And very proud to have been kissed by her when she was trying to make Han jealous.
Of course this was prior to any knowledge they were actually twins.
But why not? They’ve done nothing but disrespect this and other IPs they have acquired - why not further destroy this one.
That is complete BS. Camie was the love interest, and Luke and Biggs were just friends. Why, just look at chemistry between Luke and Camie in the deleted scenes:
Pardon me. I have to go and mourn another lost piece of my childhood.
Mara Jade was one of the coolest, most exciting stories in the Canon.
They flushed that story right down the tube to impress 12 fags.

Still IS cannon. Take out the crappy last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker stands well.
We should all just identify as gay, claim privilege on that basis, and then complain that we are being discriminated against because we’re acting straight.
I don't think Tatooine offered a lot in terms of young female companionship. Jabba had all the worthwhile girls chained up at his place.
Is this more than just a rumor?
Well, that depends on which hand.
This story infuriates me.
So do these links from Open Secrets showing Disney was a Top 5 contributor to Trump in both 2016 and 2020…

Why not go all the way make Han Solo gay also and he and Luke could be lovers how’s that for a new narrative?
Lando maybe.
Luke? no.
f*ck the rat.
“Luke, I am one of your two fathers.”
Well we knew those two robots were gay, right?
But Chewbacca gives off heteronormative vibes.
This is the cultural conditioning the devil enjoys: accept (and even require) that the religious devout and leaders are sodomites.
