There's no doubt that staying active, involved, and busy can keep a person alive and well. On top of that, I trust the wisdom of old people a hell of a lot more than that of youngsters.
I wish this country had MORE old people in positions of influence.
Unfortunately, there are still old-timers like President FJB, so there's that.
As an aside, Moses was 120+/- when he died.

We need to get rid of the 17th amendment and revert to the prior system of having senators selected by the state houses.l

Solved with term limits.
Ideally, a resourceful Congressman would seek a Senate seat, or Governorship...with Governors making very good Presidents.

This is a very old list. I’m sure there are a lot of fossils still but an updated list would be a better look at it.

Money, power and a personality defect. Age is not the problem...a young prick grows into an old one.

I vote we term limit them to 16 years with that limit ending when they are 70. Let each individual decide how to split that time between House, Senate, Governor and Mayor.

“Old Boys’ Club.” My mother worked “on the Hill” in the late 1930s - early 1940s. She told me that when I was a kid in knickerbockers at the time.

The list is badly out of date; note at the bottom says 2015. Several of those listed are no longer in office, or dead; while others currently in office are not listed.
