Been in this situation with my Dad off and on over the last 4 years. In and out of the hospital and back again over and over. As much work as it was for me it was nothing compared to what Dad went through, and what you are going through now Boss.
“Another recurring nightmare was about being in a hospital run by terrorists, and it had a public side and back side. On the public side, they were nice as can be and took real good care of you. But on the back side, they were mean as hell and liked to torture people.”
That was not a dream, it was a vision of reality based on the last four years of my own careful observations. What I found about the physical therapy is that it does not move along and advance fast enough. They drag it out if they can because more visits more money. They aim for a perpetual need for their services.
The physical steps need to come faster, or you are almost right back to square one by the time each goal is completed. The pace they set is too slow and we had to push harder than they asked for or Dad would have never gotten any better physically. But it was hard, Dad and I had to really push each other and fight to get him better physically.
One minute he was hating me, the next he was thanking me. It is a normal part of the situation. I found it really really tested the patience of both Dad and I.
Positive thoughts Boss, Got my fingers crossed that you all find the strength to win this battle Sir. :)
....for the first couple weeks, the VA wouldn’t allow visitors or anybody to even talk/see me.....
This evil practice was repeated hundreds, if not thousands of times, across the country.
Just unreal what the gov’t medical FRAUDS did to families.
So thankful you have your sons to offer such wonderful and loving care, JimRob.
And, that you are continuing to heal.

I wish I could invent an air chair for you....something to relieve pressure points, all around, while allowing you to sit up, for a while. 💞
