JUST IN - U.S. military has shot down a “high-altitude object” the size of a “small car” over Alaska in the past hour.
Right now treating this as “needing more sauce” from MILINT.
ADS-B shows a single Beechcraft over Alaska.
No evidence of a refueler in the area.
I’d expect a refueler to be available in the area for any fighter work.
Disclose is a pretty could source, IMO.
Probability?
50%
good
not could.
hey...nice job. I gave up after awhile.
Sometimes older wiki has good resources\referrals. The new stuff stinks.
Remind me to stay away from Sioux City, then.
So can he tell me if the Eagles or the Chiefs will win on Sunday?
Do you think it was shot down over water instead of land, so that it might be recovered more intact? Rivet Joints are beautiful A/C, saw two of them a couple years ago when I was TDY in Lake Charles, LA.
Soon to be prayer time.

A "small car" is bigger than some "huge warheads".
Don’t know about why but the OP was pretty thorough.
They already have the debris-field mapped and salvage is underway.
I just collect data points and post them when they appear interesting.
I speculate that it was shot down because of the blowback from The Balloon; Radar > eyes-on to see if it is manned > Fox2
I’ll put it out there that \maybe\ this new object was following a signal from the item dropped in Nebraska?

US shoots down ‘high-altitude object’ over Alaska, White House says

It will be interesting to find out who owned that satellite and, if it decayed from orbit, did it release equipment (data rescue?) the size of a small car in its descent?
Just looking at data points and wondering of the relationship.
US NORCOM: “Not the same size or shape profile of the previous object shot-down off the coast of South Carolina.”
So, not likely a balloon.

WHY ARE THERE MORE ARTICLES ABOUT NUKES LATELY? (SCARE EVENT?)
AND
The US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) released an updated US Potential Nuclear Targets map – Particularly large clusters are highlighted in Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming where COG underground bases like Cheyenne Mountain Complex are in place. pic.twitter.com/6NaGTjoQLg
