Scientists are scrambling to explain why the continent of Antarctica has shown Net Zero warming for the last seven decades and almost certainly much longer. The lack of warming over a significant portion of the Earth undermines the unproven hypothesis that the carbon dioxide humans add to the atmosphere is the main determinant of global climate.
Under ‘settled’ science requirements, the significant debate over the inconvenient Antarctica data is of necessity being conducted well away from prying eyes in the mainstream media. Promoting the Net Zero political agenda, the Guardian recently topped up readers’ alarm levels with the notion that “unimaginable amounts of water will flow into oceans”, if temperatures in the region rise and ice buffers vanish. The BBC green activist-in-chief Justin Rowlatt flew over parts of the region and witnessed “an epic vision of shattered ice”.
He described Antarctica as the “frontline of climate change”. In 2021, the South Pole had its coldest six-month winter since records began in 1957, a fact largely ignored in the mainstream. One-off bad weather promoter Reuters subsequently ‘fact checked’ commentary on the event in social media. It noted that a “six-month period is not long enough to validate a climate trend”.
A recent paper from two climate scientists (Singh and Polvani) accepts that Antarctica has not warmed in the last seven decades, despite an increase in the atmospheric greenhouse gases. It is noted that the two polar regions present a “conundrum” for understanding present day climate change, as recent warming differs markedly between the Arctic and Antarctic. You mean the data is cherry picked? Why that’s unheard of. I mean, the IPCC would never delete data that is unfavorable to their desired conclusions, would they? Or study temperature changes only where temperatures are increasing and not decreasing? Neither would NASA swap one month’s temperature data for a different month and not tell anyone. Would they?
That continent was supposed to follow the global warming computer models, but it changed its mind and decided not to play ball. Al Gore is gonna be angry!
The headline should include “Scientists Baffled”. Of course here in FReeper land, we all know these fakers concoct climate studies to get Federal grants. Otherwise they would be flipping burgers at MacDonalds or out on the soup lines.

The excess heat is radiated off into space at night, especially in areas with little cloud cover.
I try to follow the “science” but found that it has led back to the money.
Every one knows heat rises, so it should be no surprise the artic has warmed faster than the antarctic. I just need some grant money to prove this - lots of grant money.

Maybe all the leaked freon counteracted the carbon dioxide. Yeah, that’s it.
Nobody lives there, so it doesn’t matter. The reality that the scientists will not admit is that climate is far more complex and there are regional factors that might affect places like Antarctica. To admit their ignorance is to step off the gravy train.
Yes, a young girl proved that a number of years ago. On cement next to hot buildings etc was where she found many thermometers.

Because atmospheric water vapor is present in quantities orders of magnitude greater, and has a broader and deeper absorption spectrum than any other “greenhouse gas,”so it is the only “greenhouse” gas that matters?
Because the climate of the earth is primarily determined by fluctuations in solar irradiance, with geological activity of the earth a distant second. Neither of which humans have any control over.
Human beings make up 0.0625% of the mass of all life on earth, and 5.83 x 10^-12% of the earth’s mass.
Water vapor makes up 95% of the earth’s “greenhouse gases.” Carbon dioxide makes up 3.618%, and all other gases make up 1.38%.
All human activity contributes 0.28% to these “greenhouse gases.”
Anyone who believes in man-made climate change has zero intellectual integrity.
Scientist struggle to understand they are wrong.
