The Complete Holy Bible - NIVUK Audio Bible (youtube, read by David Suchet)

This is a link to the Entire NIV Bible read by David Suchet (played Hercule Poirot in Poirot (TV Series 1989–2013).

I have this on Audible and listen to it every night before bed and during the night if I have trouble sleeping (which is usually every night around 2-2:30).

If you've never read the Bible from beginning to end, this is a great way to do it.

I have now read the Bible several times through and go back and reread parts that speak to me over and over again.

At youtube, there is a complete list of all videos by book, so it is easy to navigate. I have gotten friends involved and they say that it has changed their lives.

So, if interested in the Bible, check it out. It is obviously perfect for people who have vision problems.

It's the Bible for crying out loud. It's powerful and supernatural.;-)

And it's free!

Only if he does it in his "Poirot" voice!

I listen to him all the time. You understand a lot more of the Bible hearing it read.

Moses loses the beard and has a tiny waxed mustache.

Did you know Moses was actually Belgian?

He reads the Bible way better than anyone, IMHO.

I agree. I just reread Acts 7 several times over the last 2 nights. It’s so beautiful. A semi-complete account of the history of the Jews from Abraham to Jesus by Stephen before the Sanhedrin. So good it got him (Stephen) stoned.

I slow it down to 85% speed. Much better when it is slower.

In my truck I keep a King James New Testament audio narrated by Johnny Cash - man, that deep country voice just brings the Gospels alive.

(I've read through various translations maybe eight or ten times the old-fashioned way.)

That reader’s voice and pace really work for me, normally, audiobooks don’t.

It also works great at 85% speed. I like to slow it down so I can really think about it as I listen to it. And his voice is even better when slowed down.

Thanks, I like Scourby's reading the most, which I lost years ago, yet I use the KJV and you can get the NT free and legal to share from https://www.audiotreasure.com/audioindex.htm here King James Bible - Voice Only.

As well as here by a different good speaker: https://archive.org/details/kjvaudionondrama

Thanks be to God.

And the best free somewhat basic Bible program I have found (tried many) for copying and pasting verses is BP Bible . But you need to download the Bible text and other modules you want from https://crosswire.org/sword/modules/index.jsp like the KJV here, and the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

Then launch BP Bible, go to File and Install books and navigate to the .zip files. No need to decompress them. Then you can choose fonts, etc. and copy text, and copy formatted and edit the style. I like to do so as a paragraph, with $text sent in the body box and ($range) in the footer.

If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth. Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife. (Proverbs 30:32-33)

I will take reading a book over someone reading it to me anytime I can.

‘Tis because I can read much faster than they can talk.

That’s why I rarely click on a YouTube video to hear someone explain something.

Scourby (youtube) is wonderful. I was listening to him at 75% speed last night, Book of John, as I dozed off to sleep.
