Since the 40’s sabotage has usually been performed for other reasons. More mundane reasons.
One I have personal knowledge of is a guy performing an act of sabotage that shut down a factory for the better part of two days. Six hundred people lost time at work.
The saboteurs reason? He was hung over and wanted to go home but he couldn’t without getting his second strike. Yeah, he wasn’t invited back.
Unions and their members are still some of the most reliable saboteurs.
