Thanks.
Some of what we see here is basic human bad behavior prompted by our human nature.
Dogs and humans are pack animals at heart. We live in caves or cabins and in families or tribes. Same with dogs — it’s why we blend them into our families so well.
Dogs and humans hunt in packs as cooperative units and often in the intensity of the hunt, we kill in packs with a vicious unity in hunting or in battle.
The most biological uncivilized aspects of humanity are seen in such unruly blood lust. We enjoy football for the same reason.
These guys allowed their unit to devolve into uncivilized pack behavior. Could have been criminals, could have been white, could have been dogs — its pack behavior unleashed as their human civil nature fell away and the base instincts took over. They should be punished for their actions in accordance with the law and the policy for whom they worked.

Good post with some good analogies thrown in. Well done.
Those cops won’t stop anyone anymore. Couple that with a big dose of Blue Flu and the criminals are going to have themselves a grand ol’ time in Memphis.
He ran and he resisted. Doesn’t add up to the beat down he received though.
mob mentality + resisting arrest = unintended cosequences
Agree with your assessment—something else was going on here—there have been some comments that one of the officers had a personal grudge with the perp—and along with groupthink that would explain the craziness.
This isn’t the source I saw last night, but the autopsy gives cause of death as excessive bleeding from a beating. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11679237/FedEx-worker-Tyre-Nichols-29-extensive-bleeding-caused-severe-beating-autopsy-reveals.html
“ Black on black crime.”
If they will do a beat down on a fellow brother for 30 minutes imagine being an unlucky white guy who met up with that bunch!
FIDO
What was wrong with this perp? He seemed mentally off and unable to follow simple instructions like “Get out of your car” or “Lay on your stomach” or “Give me your hands”. He fought with the cops then ran then was recaptured and fought some more. All the while refusing to follow instructions and allow cops to cuff him. People don’t seem to realize that cops get killed all of the time by perps resisting arrest.
It’s very dangerous and very stressful. In a split second the perp could’ve produced a weapon and killed any one of them. The guy brought this on himself. Fighting with police and resisting arrest is a good way to get seriously injured or killed no matter what your race may be. It’s sad but this entire situation was completely avoidable if Tyr had just listened.
A lot of cop excessive force cases involve suspects chemically elsewhere.
"cops get killed all of the time by perps resisting arrest"
"'It’s kind of like a part of police lore, this substance that people take that makes them immune to pain and unreasonable and gives them superhuman strength'"

"Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic used medically for induction and maintenance of anesthesia. It is also used as a recreational drug. Ketamine is also simple to administer and highly tolerable compared to drugs with similar effects which are flammable, irritating, or even explosive. Ketamine is a novel compound, derived from PCP, created in pursuit of a safer anesthetic with similar characteristics" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ketamine
They have this wrong. Those two officers were back at the suspects car, they were at the original stop that the suspect ran from.
The cop with pepper spray in his eyes is odd, his behavior is odd.
Sgt Pepper built up a head of steam whilst having Sgt Magoo wash his eyes, he then suited up, got in his car and drove to the suspect and I think he’s the ‘kicker’.
That’s premeditated.
“Law enforcement officers died last year of numerous causes, among them vehicle crashes, heart attacks and gun shots. But more officers died of Covid-19 than all other causes combined, with 145 out of the 264 deaths attributed to the virus.”
https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/12/us/2020-law-enforcement-line-of-duty-deaths-trnd/index.html
“Forty-eight officers were shot and killed on the job last year, compared to 51 in 2019, the report stated. Thirty of those officers were killed by a handgun, 13 were killed by a rifle and one was killed with their own weapon.”
“Last year, 44 officers were killed in traffic incidents...In 2019, 43 officers died in traffic incidents.”
264-145 = 119
119-48 = 71
71-44 = 27 from other causes
“gives cause of death as excessive bleeding”
One can survive a fairly large loss of blood I believe.
Some believe that a blow from a stick weapon was the fatal cause. Head blows can cause fatal brain swelling.
What I read last night said internal bleeding. Yup, and it appears he had a dent in his forehead. He was having problems breathing when he got to hospital, punctured lung?
If you watched the video and stopped it in segments you would see that the victim could not comply because they were holding his hands and had his legs pinned. They were over the top and very untrained animals.
“problems breathing”
Can be a symptom from the brain:
“Most epidural and intracerebral hematomas and many subdural hematomas develop rapidly and cause symptoms within minutes. Large hematomas press on the brain and may cause swelling and herniation of the brain. Herniation may cause loss of consciousness, coma, paralysis on one or both sides of the body, breathing difficulties, slowing of the heart, and even death.”

Thank-you for that information, I was unaware. Was it the kick to the head or baton?
