I remember that episode! I couldn't believe my ears...or eyes. "Normie" girlfriend couldn't understand what go me so excited. Adrenochrome sounded like a made-up word to her.
Many British detective shows touch on the very things Q has revealed to us. I remember a Sherlock episode with Benedict Cumberbatch that had a Jimmy Savile character (creepily played by Toby Jones) who was abusing children in a hospital of which he was a patron. He even had secret passages within the walls!
I've recently watched an episode of MI-5 where a mainstream member of Parliament announces he's stepping down so he can run (or rather 'stand') for election as the first serious candidate of the "far right" party "The British Way."
It's clear there is popular support for him and the party so MI-5 is tasked with destroying his candidacy (by infiltrating his inner circle) and driving The British Way party back into obscurity. Without a hint of irony they plot to thwart democracy in order to "save democracy."
