Colorado is experiencing negative population growth. You'll never guess where they're moving to and why.

Even back in the 1970s when I lived there, people complained Colorado was overpopulated. Part of the reason is that there is only a certain amount of serviceable land to build on. You can’t build on all those mountains.
I love beating up on realtors—it is one of my favorite past-times.
Like any profession there is a normal curve—but the traditional commission based system has created a culture of hilarious con artists—who will say anything and do anything to get that commission.
The relatively low barrier to entry has also flooded the field with incompetent part-timers who come and go with the wind.
The public relations statements about the economy that come out of the trade associations are high comedy and deep denial when there are negative economic conditions.
I know a few excellent realtors—but they will be the first to acknowledge that they are the exception that proves the rule.

They legalized drugs and go east on drug crimes. Denver is a crap hole now. People moved in from California and brought the same liberal mindset that ruined California. Liberals don’t want to work any job besides selling overpriced coffee. What’s left to understand.
The Western Slope is fine as long as you can find employment. You get to enjoy Colorado every bit as much looking eastward as looking westward.
I posted what this thread’s link/news report stated.
Yeah. Like the aliens in “independence day” movie.
True. You have a damn good governor now.
Ages ago, west of the mountains and north of Cortez, the ancestral pueblos lived in great abundance. They found the lands along the creeks to be very habitable. There are thousands of their habitations there.
The best Museum of the Anasazi is near Cortez
Colorado was the place to be centuries ago by the earliest Americans.
Visited Rifle Colorado and loved it!!
And Arizona. And Nevada. And Idaho.
Looking for new nests to foul.
A younger friend, whom, we classify as a moderate has a daughter living and working in Colorado.
The daughter started out in a Denver suburb, and she moved to Vail a couple of years ago due to Denver becoming a dangerous place to live for a single woman.
Her daughter may be now ready to leave Vail and Colorado due to the criminal/illegals take over of Vail.
Yesterday, I saw a few people on the streets of Los Angeles still wearing masks. Not many, but a few are still out there.
Wow. That is depressing.
You are in Colorado?
As a Colorado native and current residential renovation investor (yeah, “flipper”), I’ve found that most sellers are downsizing and moving out of state to better weather for retirement (at least, that’s the surface story). Regardless, the days here of small Western town to cow town to clean modern suburban metro are now gone; pan handlers are on every busy intersection in the once pristine Littleton, and tent cities have encroached south into Englewood. The once clean Denver is now filthy and the traffic anywhere is tiresome. I moved from my childhood home in Littleton to a small town in the mountains, so “secretive” that the 30 minute drive down to the metro is beautiful, open, and relaxing. I’m lucky. Not sure how anyone else can tolerate it anymore.
The entire country is experiencing a population expansion. That tends to happen when you allow tens of millions of immigrants (both legal and illegal) into a country.
Anyone who thinks the country is getting better for it, raise your hand.
Acting just as the progressive disease of cancer, "progressives" invade a healthy state, destroy it, then metasticize into other healthy states where the destruction continues ... unless the "progressive cancer" itself is annihilated by a healthy defense system.

You mean throw my wife of 45 years out?
