A relationship expert has defended people having sex on a first date, with almost half of Aussies admitting to doing the deed straight away.
Relationship, sex, and mental health therapist Rachel Wright, from New York, said there is no 'right time' to have sex with a new partner and going for it on the first date can quickly determine if you want to continue the relationship.
According to a study, 49 per cent of participants said they have slept with someone on the first date, with those who don't saying they prefer to establish an emotional connection before getting into bed.

Hook up culture is a pathology.
If this 'expert' had been around in the late 60s and 70s he might have a different idea of what an "old fashioned" mentality really was.
This was a time when many (not all) women wanted to prove that they were bra-less and free lovers, and prior to STD's that would kill you.
You didn't even need to be 'on a date' to get a 'nooner' or a bill clinton quickey {before the bent one was even in politics}.

Very interesting statement and exceedingly true. Why are the guys treated differently? Because they are DIFFERENT. The ‘rules’ that apply to women don’t apply to them and vice versa.
Men can sleep around and not tarnish their names. Women can’t. If one is looking for equality, it won’t be found in real life. Only in limited situations, such as in the eyes of the law. Equality is a phantom. Always searched for but never truly found. Imperfect as it is, this culture and society is all we have. The worshippers of the Woke Cult strive to find it but can’t. Nevertheless, they will destroy our country in the process.

No. It’s biology. Males of almost every vertebrate species are not very selective when it comes to mating. They will mate with any female that will allow them to do it. It’s almost always the female that instinctually selects the mate (usually the best specimen they can find). Feel free to provide an example of any non-human exceptions. Human males typically prefer non promiscuous females for marriage in order to insure that they are the father of any children she might produce. Women being very selective in who they mate with has been the rule For thousands of years because non-selective mating can have very negative consequences for women (such as pregnancy without a committed partner). Of course humans can override their instincts to participate in any kind of liberal and unhealthy social trend that comes along.
No wonder the murdering of babies via abortion continues. 80 million in the USA.
There are serious consequences to society when values are diminished and discarded.....Look at what we are seeing today. Boundaries have been removed. Anything goes now.
The most damage in the long run is to women.
If you throw God out....there are no limits. So sad.
I will defer to the one who created the universe and all things in it. He knows and loves his creation and has defined marriage between a man and a woman as the only place for sexual activity. I am a sinner like everyone else and I know I cannot trust my feelings. I am so glad I have a standard of truth outside myself to rely on.

God expects moral and sexual purity from both men and women.
It’s only people who justify in themselves what they disallow in others.
And while men and women are different, if does not justify a double standard in the least. That is generally known as “hypocrisy”.
Does it not occur to men that women also want to have a sexually pure man for her husband? That she doesn’t want some guy who has slept around with other women?
Of course they do, and while I am not justifying the rationale, I do understand the reasoning. They figure it men can do it, why can’t they? Why should they deny themselves to please a man who didn’t live up to the same standard he demands of her. If it’s a good enough standard for him to be loose sexually, then men should expect that women will allow themselves the same “privileges“ men allow themselves.
Besides, if men are so willing to sleep around, where do they expect to find the “pure” girls? All the ones they slept with are left for other men who also want “pure” girls. But if the men justify sleeping around like that, it cuts into the pool of sexually pure women they can choose from.
They are shooting themselves in the foot by diminishing the very thing they want.
Then again, men aren’t always known for thinking with the brain in their skull when it comes to sex.
I’m mid 50’s, widowed 3 years ago, and my wife essentially lost all interest in sex the last 5 or so years of our marriage. When she passed, I connected with a couple of former girlfriends for a year or so, and have decided that nope, I’m done. I’m too old to retrain anyone to put up with me. Happier by myself.
Odds are this relationship expert is single, drinks boxed wine, and has cats.
