Eggs can be stored by dipping into melted crisco to form a barrier then stored in cool area.

Research further but this was told to me by my brother that lived aboard sailboat and cruised for years.

A couple of coats of mineral oil will do the trick, too.

Very similar to the older method of dipping UNWASHED Eggs in melted paraffin (or wax).
