Texas teacher put on leave after physically assaulting a high school student who ended up in the ER and on crutches – father of student demands his teaching license be revoked and arrested after he ‘antagonized’ his son

A Texas English teacher is being investigated after he was filmed beating a student and pinning him violently against a classroom wall.

The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon at Humble High School, which is located just outside of Houston, and left the 10th grade boy in the emergency room with injuries.

Footage showed the teacher slamming the student to the ground and overturning a table, then holding him against a wall as other students tried to pull them apart.

The teacher was placed on leave, and the boy's father, Elvert Bolden, is demanding he be barred from ever teaching again. Bolden said the 'upsetting' fight started because the teacher thought his son was being too loud.

The shocking clip showed the teacher in a purple sweatshirt grappling the student dressed in black.

The student appeared to be escaping from the teacher, who held him by the arm as the pair toppled over a table and sent chairs flying in the classroom scrum.

Violence is never acceptable in a classroom, except to protect someone’s life

A White guy punching a Black guy.

That teacher is toast.

I wonder why he has not already been arrested for assault.

I was reading the comment section over at DM. They could not believe the teacher was complaining about the student being “too loud”. Have they ever heard Amish kids be loud? You hear Amish kids before you hear every other kid.

Maybe the young man was a discipline problem.

I’d like to know who started this incident. I would bet this “student” is a chronic troublemaker. Just my guess.

“Elvert” was a pretty good clue as to what happened.

Pretty typical back in 1900 in many rural schools. Like an industrial foreman the teacher had to be able to beat the biggest student in the school to survive.

Sure the teacher shouldn’t physically cause serious harm.

Yet to maintain discipline and therefore make learning possible teachers used to Cause minor harm to the students.

It was called paddling. My dad retired in 1990 and he kept a paddle and all the kids he used it on signed it. There wasn’t a blank place left.

His kids learned and none that I know of ever grew up to be mad dog killers like the Idaho guy or the dude that ran over a bunch of grandmothers and kids in Waukesha Wisc.

It’s weird, yes, but you have to seize any assistance you can get to spell English words correctly.

“The student appeared to be escaping from the teacher...”

Yeah, I bet. He finally screwed with one who would fight back.

Teachers in Compton that wanted their students to learn back in the day beg to differ; now they just give them A's B's and enough C's just to push students out.

One of the most dangerous profession right now is a teacher in certain areas that attempt to teach and discipline if learning is interrupted.
