Luke Iseman, a serial inventor and the former director of hardware at Y Combinator, has raised at least $500,000 to launch his sunlight reflection company, Make Sunsets...Make Sunsets plans to launch three balloon test launches releasing sulfur dioxide to cool the atmosphere in January from the land Iseman owns in Baja, Mexico.

I’ve been hoping a volcano would do it for us. I prefer the planet’s natural self-correction system to human attempts to fool with Mother Nature.
Bill Gates wants to do something similar planet wide by the way. Little reflective strips that will stay suspended in the atmosphere and reflect sunlight away from us.

This is the whole premise behind the movie and series Snowpiercer. Civilization nearly destroyed due to a man made ice age.
Ground based weather recording stations in the USA which have been properly sited and not been surrounded by more and more urban development have shown no long-term warming trend at all.
Couldn’t possibly be a scam.

The UN Climate Panel says 1.5 degrees Celsius. It’s true. The data can be difficult to find, as the propagandists (News web sites) ALWAYS says what it will be next year, next ten years, by 2050, or 2100 or so.
I’d ask these people, how much cooling do you intend to cause? Give us the number in degrees. If you can’t say, then stop.
Every night the Earth radiates heat off into space. This is the natural process that assures that the planet doesn’t melt.
After a hot day, more heat is radiated, assuming no cloud cover. After a cool day, less heat is radiated.
Leave the planet along. It can handle the excess heat generated by human activities just fine.

And to think, back in the 1970s there was a hare brained scheme to mine coal, grind it to dust, mix it with oil and spray it on the ice fields to increase absorption of heat from the sun to prevent THE COMING ICE AGE!
On 9-11 when the government ordered ALL aircraft grounded the earth temp in the US actually went up a couple of degrees. Maybe what we need is more contrails from jet aircraft!
