That’s the same hand gesture that Fauci does all the time, but at a different angle. There’s a word for it — that making a tent out of your fingers. It’s a signature gesture for untrustworthy people.

Note that it is an inverted rendition of this:

showing loyalty to the Masonic Code (note the image corners)

It also is used on the US base-currency (dollar).

Trump also makes that hand gesture all the time. Look at video of him meeting with other dignitaries where they are both sitting in armchairs by the fireplace. I often wonder if he’s trolling them.

Best Hand Gestures For Public Speaking

Using the triangle hand gestures (supposedly) help the speaker appear more knowledgeable and intelligent about what he/she is going to say.

Politicians all use the same searching, tutoring, training, practicing, etc., as any other groups of people who use public speaking and presentations for their professions.

The reason you and others "notice" these gestures is because they appear to be awkward, faked, amateurish, and even dishonest; not smoothly fitting in with the various words, phrases, ideas, etc., that the speakers are trying to convey.

In other words, these politicians are jacklegs or beginners; trying to make good impressions, so they do some quick research and practice, adopt a few things that might work for them, and their presentations come across as just that.

Even those politicians with 20 years in the public arena are still working on how best to sell you a bucket of crickets to replace your basket of groceries.

That gesture is called “steepling”. At least in the book I read on body language long, long ago. According to the book I read, it is more often seen with the fingers at the top and thumbs at the bottom. Remember the old children’s thing... “Here’s the church and here’s the steeple”?

According to the book, it is an indication of power and confidence. IIRC, the book said that people would subconsciously sense power and confidence from someone who made that gesture. So I would guess there might be a few people out there who read that same book and are trying to project power and confidence, not necessarily a cabal connection. But now when I see it, my mind immediately jumps to cabal / Angela Merkel.

I’ve made that gesture and I’m not illuminati and my friends and family consider me very trustworthy. Just sayin.
