If you really want to see a meltdown pick the table you want to sit at......the brain lockup is amazing.

I did that once and the little snowflake panicked and had to call the manager to step in and handle it......seems like just the slightest pressure on kids these days and they buckle.

Why is math so hard [for youngsters]?

Because "feelings" don't enter into arithmetic, geometry, trig, and calculus. It's about finding the precise right answer from available data.

The up-and-coming generations have a problem with that. Which can also explain why STEM is so difficult for the fairer sex.

Back when I was interviewing prospective employees (all college grads), one of my questions was always “Can you please express the fraction 4/5 as a percentage?” Only about half could do so. Some were truly puzzled, and had no idea what I was asking. Pass.
