I rarely step inside Walmart. With just me, I don’t grocery shop that often. I stock up on things like meat when there’s a sale. Rest of the time it’s usually a quick trip for fresh produce. I do stock up on coffee and TP and cat food, and my little freezer is full, but, like I say, its just me.
I learned not to stock too much in advance in things I wouldn’t normally eat.
I went to Rosa’s yesterday and got a take out that used to cost $11 now $14.59. At least they had plenty of lettuce and tomatoes, last time I went there they were out.

it’s because of complete incompetence at Optium, who bought out Suddenlink. I had my whole week messed up because of the stupidity, decided to cut them off, got a different internet service, which is working great. My apartment pays for basic cable, so I unhooked my box, and am waiting for my son to come connect to it.
I will be saving money, and I really only watch Maria, Jessie and Tucker on cable. And a few other shows, all of which I can get on basic. I like IDTV, but I can get through ROKU I think.
I could make a claim on Optium, but right now, I can’t handle the anger. They have outsourced and have untrained fools working for them.

Camphor oil - does it irritate eyes?
wow. My doctor wrote a prescription for retinal last year, but it was still big bucks. Years ago I went to Mexico to buy it cheap, but too dangerous now.

I was so pleased when I found the grass fed chuck roasts and filets!! on sale, at HEB, last week.
Well, they were marked down, due to not being able to be in the meat case, any longer. So, I “splurged” :)
The butcher at my HEB is great...one day, he told me to stock up on the regular rib eyes he’d just set out.....they were actually grass fed, but, they’d run out of regular rib eyes, due to a sale.
I hear you, about not stocking up on more than the two (well, sometimes counting the kids) can reasonably eat, within time.
The Food Saver has been a Godsend, for us. Keeping meats “fresh”, for well over a year. Still...you have to limit what you store/freeze, as you said.
Mmmmm....Rosa’s sounds good. How are their tacos? Are they the premade shells, or, fried corn tortillas?
Now, I’m hungry for Mexican food!
