Oh my gosh that bird is funny. An elderly woman I know has a small yellow bird, Charlie, who she allows to fly free around her house. If the woman forgets to take her medication at 10:00 p.m., Charlie stands on the toaster oven in the kitchen and starts making loud squawking noises until the lady comes into the kitchen and takes her pills. Only then will the bird stop squawking. We have no idea how Charlie knows what time it is. My friend said the bird droppings are worth the bond she has with Charlie. The person who came up with the disparaging term “bird brain” may not have realized how smart birds really are.
I used to have parakeets, green one and yellow one, would dance and chirp to Neil Diamond blasting on the record player or to the vacuum running.
First 2 were named Amos and Andy, when one died, we got Kingfish and then we got Saphire next.
We named them after the cast of the Amos and Andy Show.
This is so cute; I did have a white and blue at one time.
