We had a 40°F temp drop with blowing snow yesterday. Was -7°F to -3°F last night/this morning depending on the reporting service in neOK/nwARk.

Is +7°F now and expected to be +5°F range tonight.

This general area has seen a lot worse for a lot longer. We have had below -0°F temps for a week. Several of the previous ones had a 50°F to 60°F temp drop in a few hours.

Luckily, this 'freeze' is a short one.

That fence post in Kansas doesn't do much to slow one of the blue-northers.

Next Thursday the forecast is for 65°F.

It was -8f this morning with a windchill 0f -30 near Columbus Ohio. I didn’t get to fly back home today. Wind still kicking up. Only -2 now and -20 windchill.

Welcome to the club! It was 50F here in Eastern KY when we went to bed last night, and -4 when we got up this AM. It got up to a blistering 3F briefly this PM. Wind is making everything worse. If Santa brings coal I’m burnin’ it!

-3 with a windchill of -36 here. it's been below zero all day. Can't head north of me since the road leads between two open fields and the snow is blowing across creating whiteout conditions.

All the roads here are iced hard. No one's going anywhere. We don't warm up above 20 until Wednesday. Gonna be a rough Christmas here. Christmas Eve & Day are supposed to be worse than today. Saying coldest in over 30 years.
