I once slept naked under a canvas tarp near a roaring fire with a limestone reflective backing. Got hot and it was 10 °F. The whiskey and the woman and a big meal of steak,refrieds and tortillas were probably a factor as well.

Anyways I’m in Louisiana tonight sitting by a big fire full as a tick from boudain and red beans and rice and biscuits and a little Beam and Dr. Pepper.

So right and the nice thing about it is that this automobile heater heat is basically free heat that gets rejected through the radiator otherwise on warmer days.
Something for you electric car huggers to ponder when you drive by the electric generating facility that charges your car and notice a plume of steam from the cooling towers. That is your free heat being rejected elsewhere:

-3 with a windchill of -36 here. it's been below zero all day. Can't head north of me since the road leads between two open fields and the snow is blowing across creating whiteout conditions.

All the roads here are iced hard. No one's going anywhere. We don't warm up above 20 until Wednesday. Gonna be a rough Christmas here. Christmas Eve & Day are supposed to be worse than today. Saying coldest in over 30 years.

We’re at - 6 but the wind is so bad the chill is -40 up here.....an it’s snowing again.
By 10;00 it will be - 7 and -43 wind chill......

Before night is over and into tomorrow wind chill down to -45....and that’s Tundra Cold!

We have friends that live in Prescott. We come down every year and stop at Nichols West to/from Prescott for breakfast or lunch. Love sitting out back by an orange tree. We’ll be down there first week in March.
