It’s 10 right now with 13mph winds. My old outside dog is in the windproof shed with a nest of blankets, shavings, and old rugs. She is howling to get out, so I know she’s OK. She’s 15, half feral, and hates other dogs or she would be in the house. She also hates being in the house. LOL Her doghouse in her fenced yard is winterized with a tarp, blankets, and shavings so when it gets daylight, I’m going to wrestle her into my old sweatshirt that I modified for her and see if she can stand being in her yard and doghouse. She’s a big dog at over 60lbs with a good layer of fat and winter hair so I hope she is OK. If not...back in the shed she goes.
We aren’t setup for this down South. The power is browning out so it might get worse. Since the power is so crappy in this area, we keep an emergency indoor propane heater for power outages in winter. It’s on now trying to help the electric heat pump out.
