After further review....
Hope nobody here thought I was being too flippant about the winter storm we’re all facing this week.
I remember all too well the time ‘way down in South Texas when I was a snot-nosed kid sitting by an intersection during a winter storm and being amused by the near panic a quarter inch of sloppy wet snow was bringing into the lives of those nice old Texas folks.
Gee, I was from Colorado, I’d been driving in snow and ice for all of five or six years and wasn’t I special watching someone entirely new to that game going through some of the same anguish I’d suffered but just had completely forgotten.
Please forgive me y’all. For being a smarta$$ fifty years ago and the other day.
Just remember to take your time on snow/ice, dress in layers to deal with the low temperatures and, most important, be good neighbors to everyone around you and remember them all in your prayers.
You never know when the rotten old SOB down the road will suddenly be inspired to use that truck and tow chain to haul you out of the ditch, you might just help him out by sharing a meal when his house goes dark and cold and some snotty kid from out of state might get a clue in his old age.
Merry Christmas to all of you and don’t sweat the storm. You’re in good hands.
” The US just agreed to a military partnership with Israel for we are looking at the Middle East erupting into war. I cannot believe how DUMB our leaders really are. If the shoe was on the other foot, I would launch the missiles from North Korea against the South and Japan, China takes Taiwan, Iran kicks ass in the Middle East, and Russia nukes Kyiv and Warsaw. Both Hitler and Napoleon lost because you CANNOT wage a war on multiple fronts. The US thinks it can use the bodies of other nations and just supply the arms. If I wanted to take down the United States and Europe grinding them into the dirt, you wage war on four fronts simultaneously. Neither Europe nor the United States has the boots on the ground to defend against such an onslaught. “

Funny, I concluded basically the same thesis, wrote it, and deleted it due to delicacies. The overall apathy, the anemic lethargy, has not won an inch of ground in my view.
I had concluded there is no global alliance of MIL capable of destroying the overwhelming forces all around the earth and which now having overtaken the last bastion... the USA, certainly the Americas, and Vichy Canada.
Restoration of America is unlikely in any case. Our POTUS seems strangely serious but not enthusiastic about his future, which signals our future. What’s up with that?
I digress..
I believe I return to less mental massage about the vaunted MIL, and rely soley on God and his intervention, which will not be pretty but will be both deadly but cleansing.
Not all signs in any way are fulfilled, but enough are to recognize easily, the Season. Throw in “.. wars and rumors of war [III]”, in a decadent age, and the great Church in Rome in the jaws of wolves feigning to be shepherds and the consequences are dire.
Meanwhile, God’s will is God’s will.
Yes, of course I will vote well, and keep current events but I think we deserve more than a dry bone in our soup, 7 years out, imo, before Trump announced.
Great link, *P. Thanks.
Not my opus, either, but change from the game. 😇🙏
Merry Christmas and thank God your job isn’t like this one!
That fool was NOT using his safety ties the right way - two lines each separately tied off with at least one clipped at all times as you move the other.
One of the most dangerous jobs in the world with a similar death rate to lumbering and almost always because they start taking short cuts on these simple things because they can get something done faster.
