Bob Iger may be back at the helm of The Walt Disney Company, but if anyone thought his return would see the company shift away from divisive identity politics, they would be sadly mistaken.
“The Board has concluded that as Disney embarks on an increasingly complex period of industry transformation, Bob Iger is uniquely situated to lead the Company through this pivotal period,” announced the Disney board’s current chairman, Susan Arnold, in a statement provided to the media on November 20th. “We thank Bob Chapek for his service to Disney over his long career, including navigating the company through the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic.”
.. “I think there’s a misperception here about wat politics is,” answered Iger. “I think that some of the subjects that have proven to be ‘controversial’ as it relates to Disney have been branded political, and I don’t necessarily believe they are.”
“I don’t think that when you are telling stories and attempting to be a good citizen of the world, that that’s political,” he affirmed. “It’s just not how I view it.”
Later, when asked for his “stance on the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ situation”, the CEO would explain, “Well, first of all, our LGBTQ employees are very important to us and we care deeply about them.”
“That is a given,” he declared. “Secondly, this company has been telling stories for a hundred years, and those stories have had a meaningful, positive impact on the world. And one of the reasons that they’ve had a meaningful, positive impact is one of our core values is inclusion, acceptance, and tolerance. And we can’t lose that. We just can’t lose that.”

Disney deserves to fail.
It’s time to unfreeze Walt and put his brain into a cyborg body. It’s the only way to save Disney
My advice? We should just buy older Disney content, meaning movies and shows made while Walt himself was in charge.
Bob Chapek actually was trying to cut down some of that woke BS but managed to pissed off everybody including Bob Iger because he wasn’t woke enough and Ron DeSantis because he was too woke.
Iger to shareholders:
We are launching a new thrill ride just for you.
Assume the position!
“Well?......We’re waiting!”
Or just buy used DVDs.
So the powers that be at Disney, have decided they just weren’t liberal enough, just not woke enough, just had not pushed enough homosexual, trans etc stuff into their entertainment?????
That’s it, they just weren’t bold enough in pushing all this LGBT gender bending gender confusion, global warming, etc. into their programming???
Nah. There's only one Disney World. And Disney Cruises are popular. Even if they manage to alienate 50% of Americans and they decide to boycott Disney.
The last Disney movie I bought was “Bedknobs and Broomsticks.”
Eff ‘em.
I hope they go broke and liquidate.
He says he wants risk, tolerance and acceptance.....ok, release Song of the South.
Iger is going to blow Disney's bottom line and future for nothing more than a shallow virtue signal to the Queer agenda.
Let's see how long he can last.
Check out the top institutional ownership.
Nuff said.
Avoid the re-make.
Can do that without being woke.
Wow, Iger is stuck on stupid. Good luck with that.
I didn’t know there was a re-make. I have the original 1971 version with David Tomlinson, and Angela Lansbury.
Then go broke, Bob...
How DARE you soil and sully our kids.
