A search is ongoing for an Arizona couple who disappeared while kayaking in Mexico on Thanksgiving, authorities said.

Corey Allen and his wife Yeon-Su Kim of Flagstaff were kayaking with their teen daughter around 1 p.m. Thursday in Puerto Peñasco, also known as Rocky Point, Mexico, when winds began to pick up, family and friends have said. Allen helped their daughter back to shore and it is believed he went back for Kim before the couple went missing.

Authorities in Mexico tweeted that a search for two Americans is ongoing, along with a photo of the couple.

Allen is a real estate agent and Kim is a forestry professor at Northern Arizona University, according to AZ Family. The couple reportedly has two teenage children.

Rocky Point is about four hours south of Phoenix on the Gulf of Mexico. It is a very popular weekend get away for Phoenicians

Rumors have it that it is also a popular weekend family retreat for the leaders of the cartels. As such it is reputed to be a ‘safe zone’, as the cartels do not want to hit met local businesses.

I never bought that line of thinking myself, so i have never gone there.

Arizona couple goes missing while kayaking in Mexico on Thanksgiving

And a Minnesota couple has gone missing while curling in Austria on Labor Day.

Seriously: This is news?

More newsworthy than the tired rhetoric of for/against Trump, trying to stir up controversy over DeSantis, or harange us with climate hysteria, or, how about COVID?

Those Phoenicians. Where didn't they end up?

They say when you travel abroad you want to do your best to look like a native and fit in. That must have been very hard for them.

I can’t imagine that a white American couple go missing in Mexico. That’s got to be a first.

Here’s a suggestion: Stay the F*** out of Mexico and you won’t “go missing”.

SMDH.

By charter jet? Brownsville is probably the closest place on the Gulf of Mexico. And commercial would go through Dallas or Houston and would take longer than that.

Looks like the cause was stormy seas/weather and not locals.

As pointed out by another, Rocky Point is on the Gulf of California, not the Gulf of Mexico.

Don’t forget the Uke-Rus propagandists who pollute the news feed a few times a day.
