They say when you travel abroad you want to do your best to look like a native and fit in. That must have been very hard for them.
Rumors have it that it is also a popular weekend family retreat for the leaders of the cartels. As such it is reputed to be a ‘safe zone’, as the cartels do not want to hit met local businesses.
I never bought that line of thinking myself, so i have never gone there.

By charter jet? Brownsville is probably the closest place on the Gulf of Mexico. And commercial would go through Dallas or Houston and would take longer than that.
