The Michigan Department of Education (MDOE) promoted resources for educators on how to start a “Gay Straight Alliance” (GSA) club in their schools, according to training materials.
The MDOE’s LGBTQ Students Project includes trainings and resources for LGBTQ students as well as educators on getting a GSA club “up and running,” according to the materials. For starting a GSA club, the department promoted a GSA resource list and brainstorming activity for educators to teach them how to advertise the club and insure student confidentiality.
An activity titled “what are some best practices to help your GSA be successful?” encourages educators to find a “safe space” for a club by reaching out to a school counselor or band director. To advertise the club, the activity suggests school announcements and putting the information in school newsletters.
“I had the school secretary read it aloud on the announcements to advertise,” the activity read. “Just hearing her say the words ‘Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender’ aloud every morning for a week was a thrill.”
Once the group is created, the activity suggests the group establish its purpose and whether it will be a “social, activist, support group or some combination.” Then the group can decide what “activities” it will to partake in, including “National Coming Out Day” and “Transgender Day of Remembrance...”

This seems to be the total focus of schools. I’ve yet to see a single article where a school system was pushing the socratic method, or requiring students to read more books, or stressing more art classes, more chemistry labs, or *anything* which might actually provide a student with knowledge. All they do is push this LGBTQ garbage non-stop.

I live in the middle of the country (Texas), so I don’t need to worry about these freaks, as they only exist in the Northeast and the West Coast.
So my kids are fine in the public schools here, just fine. Yep, just fine...
I’m curious if these schools would allow heterosexual swingers clubs.

but..since so few parents really visit the schools much...
yes, it is still pretty well kept away from the parents
all this krap will end just as soon as a few responsible adults either file complaints with the district attorneys or state attorney generals, or effect citizens’ arrests against those responsible for all this Contributing to the Delinquency of Minors and possible lewd conduct and/or crimes of moral turpitude against children...however the criminal code is set forth in your state
Maybe they can have their meetings behind closed doors or maybe in the Closet if they feel intimidated by expressing themselves publicly.

Two things must be done or w will lose our country,
#1 Honest elections.
#2 Clean up our education system. The federal government must be removed from the school system and all control, hiring, and activities outside the basic fundamentals returned to management by local school boards.
If those two things are accomplished all of the other problems will go away because we will have decent people making the decisions.

That’s why I drip the sarcasm. I remember one guy here claiming that his small community had ‘complete control’ over the schools there. He had NO IDEA what he was up against. He was an idiot thinking that.

Of course, that’s why I always drip sarcasm...in this case it’s Michigan, not San Francisco or Seattle - and that’s my point.

Michigan attorney general Dana Nessel (D.) said Wednesday that drag queens ought to be in every school.
Nessel, who is best known for passing out drunk in the stands after two Bloody Marys at the 2021 Michigan-Michigan State football game, admitted she did not poll-test the idea before floating it at a civil rights conference in Lansing.
“A drag queen for every school! That is what would be fun for the kids and lift them up when they are having emotional issues,” Nessel said. “Drag queens—not only are they not hurting our kids—drag queens make everything better! Drag queens are fun.”
