Certainly do, likely a smaller type for upholstery. The grey tips might be to align them in a tacking gun magazine.
For those not familiar with a duplex head nail, they're designed to be temporarily driven in to the first round lip and easily pried out using the outer lip.
It's also unlike any upholstery fastener I have ever seen.
They look more like double-headed nails. They are used in temporary structures so that the top head is exposed making it easier to pull out of the structure. Also used in electric fencing, where the electrified wire is wrapped around the nail in between the two nail heads.
The gray cap is to protect yourself from getting jabbed?
Polonium pins! Putin has clearly sent a Spetsnaz team into your house. Throw the pins into your neighbor’s yard quickly. You know... the one who is kinda annoying.
Teeny-tiny batons from teeny-tiny drum majorettes living in your recliner. Pretty common these days in certain parts of the country.
Bristles from a pin brush for dogs is stating to seem plausible.
Right. The rivet end is embedded in a rubber cushion attached to the body of the brush.
I agree.
Iāll bet my recliner weighs more now than when new. The reason, at least in part, would be the number of small gun parts Iāve lost in it over the years.
It may be that the upholsterer dropped things into his workpiece and didnāt remove them. My wife occasionally tips my recliner to do work near it. Iām waiting for the day that I begin to find more parts than I lose.
It looks like a handā¦ yes, the palm of a hand, I believeā¦ holding something weirdā¦
Rivets for sure. The fat end of the rivet goes into a hole in 2 pieces of metal which are being connected to each other. The long end goes into a rivet gun which grabs the shaft and pulls it so that the housing on the other end deforms - gets thicker. Then it slices off the long end.
This sounds more likely. Here’s a link to a detangling brush for dogs and cats.
Grow up.
This thread made me laugh so hard. I totally forgot I posted this, and was just curious.
I needed that.
