Gun grabbers often say you don’t need a gun, you can just get a protective order. Never mind that the protective order won’t necessarily stop a killer, it turns out that you can’t always “just get a protective order”.
In other news, let me guess that the judge will face zero culpability in this woman’s death. “Sorry, I’m a Lord, and I can’t be held accountable for any of my decisions, at least until election day.”

AOC is responsible because she would deny women in this situation the right to self defense.
Protective Orders are useless.

Mom should have bought a gun. Mom should not have married this dude, but probably no one else would mess with her. The kids look sweet, though. Sorry for them.

No, a PFA won’t stop a criminal... but why the hell would a judge refuse on??
I’d love to find out more about this judge, and this exact situation.

Virginia abolished the death penalty last year, but at least this murderer might get life without parole and sit in a prison cell for the next forty years or so thinking about what he did. It won’t be fun. Quite the opposite.

And the protective order would have stopped this how? Bulletproof paper?

We read all the time about black men killing or beating up their white women and yet the next white woman will think her man is different. How many stories do you read about white men hurting their black girlfriends?

Not that restraining orders mean anything but I’m stunned that any judge would deny one to a woman.Men? OK,but not women. There’s no downside for the judge in granting one...it’s not as if he/she will be removed from the bench for granting an unwarranted one, whereas refusing to grant one and the woman winds up dead means bad news!
