ransomnote: So, in December of 2020, fresh off the theft of the 2020 elections, Q and Q+ decided they wouldn't need a back channel with which to address the public anymore.
Rather than post "This is the final drop on this board" or provide any other explanation, both Q and Q+ thought it best to just silently walk away having they would no longer need the board we fought so hard to establish and validate as a back channel to the public ever again.
They didn't think any effort should be made to shut it down and they decided to leave it live, because none of our enemies would ever try to use it against us (again).
They couldn't perceive a way enemies could use the board discredit all the content or the Q movement. No one would post crazy manifestos or treasonous threats on the Q board if you just give it to the public.
Supposedly Q/Q+ never though their board would be used by anyone for any purpose if they just left the keys in the ignition and walked away with the motor running.

ransomnote: Personally, I think Q could, after 4 years, say, "Tripcodes? TRIPCODES? We don't need no stinkin' tripcodes!" They have been gaining control of servers/server access and cyber attacks and have removed key assets from black hats so I believe the notion that we understand the true security picture, or breaches, is likely faulty.
In the video you link, Jim Watkins says the Tripcodes are secure (May 30, 2021) and posted a video to that effect on Gab. Why wasn't he concerned that Q might correct him? If Q isn't posting because the Tripcode issue, isn't it a little daring for Watkins to lie to the public about it?
Watkins also laughs at the idea that he's getting rich off people buying 8K coffee. That sounds right to me; I myself have never paid money for any access to Q or related content, nor have others I've spoken wih.
We've had fake Q posts before (Q exposed the tripcode and let embedded black hats pounce on it) and those posts were removed and their lack of authenticity is no longer debated.
I believe Q/Trump a) don't allow people to steal their comms to do whatever they want with and b) are creative enough to signal to let us know if they left the board, others are controlling the board, drops are fake etc. I don't believe they just let their comms drift away, unsecured, for whomever wants to use them to lead the Q movement away.

The content has changed in delivery to match the audience. Anons from 8ch had unique abilities and enjoyed the challenges - the present Q movement includes a very different audience who doesn't have time for, or enjoy, the dot challenges. In fact, many members of the Q movement are having enough challenges in their lives at this point. There actually was more to the recent drops than first 'assumed' (e.g.).
Really the challenges in drops were needed mental stimulation for uniquely gifted individuals to bake the bread for those of us who deliver the bread to drive it around town. Early on, how many of them would knowingly sign up for 5 years of boring standard curriculum which would have you sit down at your computer and read text books and take quizzes?
Back then, Q didn't have as much control of electronic resources, and the content itself was classified so that it could not be revealed but could legally be relayed by getting anons onto a topic and telling them to look for themselves.
The recent drop about the Ukraine seemed like a nothing burger but it pointed to the cryptocurrency-fuels-the-Dem-party. What kind of 'dots' should we have dug for? That information was live or available to the public but blacked out by MSM until it wasn't - so no encryption and convoluted dots were needed to say, "LOOK! CRYPTO IS DEM PARTY LIFELINE!"

(I hear the coffee is good - never tried it myself). There has always been accusations of this kind about Q, that online merch is the path to riches. It's the same thing with physicians who speak against Covid - people say they do it for money. We watch those doctors get smeared, fired and stripped of their medical credentials while people tell us they do it to get rich.

Biden and MSM narratives about 'QAnon' pose those who follow Q as crazy, evil and violent - that does NOT look good for 'brand image'. Nobody steals Trumps lunch money and gets away with it. He didn't just stop caring and drift away, forgetting there's a board. Q isn't overmatched by opportunists looking to sell coffee and t-shirts.
