Police in Idaho said Tuesday they believe an "edged weapon" such as a knife was used in a "targeted attack" on four college students, shedding light on a case that has left a local community shocked and grappling with unanswered questions.
Police in the city of Moscow said they have not recovered a weapon but came to the conclusion based on preliminary information. The victims — three women and one man, all students at the University of Idaho — were found dead before noon Sunday at a private home about a half-block from campus...
"Investigators believe this was an isolated, targeted attack and there is no imminent threat to the community at large," the police said.

“All four deaths have been ruled homicides”
Therefore the police thinks the killer is still living.
“they believe an “edged weapon” such as a knife was used in a “targeted attack” on four college students”
Such as a knife. It could have been a machete or something similar.
A lot of people in Rwanda were killed with machetes alone.
This incident just after some nut job shot up the University of Virginia.
If one of the four was the knifer then the cops would have the knife. But they say they don’t have it. And one being outside hints he/she/it was going (or coming to) for help? Or maybe ambushed?
A big thing missing so far is whether the four lived together or even at the house. And if they didn’t live at that house, who did/does?
Violent crime seems to be more common around college campuses than the colleges would like parents to know. Students receive text messages all the time, warning them about a crime or a threat, and sometimes telling them to stay indoors or stay alert. But, classes go on as usual.
.....3 young pretty woman, one guy,,,living in same house....supposedly one guy is in a relationship with one of the young woman .. polyamory gone wrong? Maybe killer was crazy incel person who got sexually shunned (term: sexiled) by some in the group of victims...drugs, alcohol, dare, killer was outed?, killer wanted newer iPhone which was owned by one of the victims?, Slenderman,
Soft targets. Computers / phones / etc.
The media as usual is reporting any rumor that they think they hear because they have no facts. Which means that LEO is keeping their mouths shut as they should while they investigate.
Idaho has had a fair number of serial killers, some home grown and others just passing through, like Ted Bundy who admitted to victims in Pocatello and Boise.
I suspect that the police are withholding some information about the suspect that makes it clear to them that the victims were targeted and the suspect isn't a threat to the population at large.
No AR-15s were present at the incident.
violent crime/college campuses: That notion hits right on one of my big complaints with the current easy, un-limited, loan program. Couple that with diversity, come-one-come-all emphasis and it turns out colleges can be a place where dirtbagz can hide out for quite awhile. What a break for drug dealers? The gummint gives them living money so they can double their take. And I get sick of hearing about how fentynal deaths are “overdoses.” If one takes the stuff on purpose then it’s not “over” anything. It’s just stoopid.
I’ll need to hear the autopsy details before I blame all this entirely on the knife guy.
I would assume the girls lived in thier sorority house. Same with the guy in his frat house, unless seniors are allowed to live out the the sorority/fraternity.
As far as I’ve noticed, the criminals who live around the campus are the big problem. But, every college wants parents to believe its campus is safe.
A big thing missing so far is whether the four lived together or even at the house.

Three girls, one boy, all living at the house.
Biden says he getting tired of Russian aggression, oh look pudding!
