Now that the Election in Florida is over, and everything went quite well, shouldn’t it be said that in 2020, I got 1.1 Million more votes in Florida than Ron D got this year, 5.7 Million to 4.6 Million? Just asking?

I love what Donald Trump’s policies did for our Nation, but let’s face it, he’s toxic. Hatred for Trump caused the disasters of the last 3-4 years. Their hatred of Trump has caused the left and other progressives to drop all pretense of patriotism and justified their unleashing hell on America. I am convinced that Covid was released during the 2020 election year in large part to destroy Trump’s chances for reelection. Don’t forget that Dr. Fauci predicted a pandemic during Trump’s presidency many months before we even heard of Covid.
I agree with #1 through #5. Time to stop playing the schoolyard bully...DeSantis vs Trump in 2024? For me, it depends on whether or not he can keep his mouth shut!
Why should DeSantis bend the knee to a three-time loser?
Trump won in 2016. Kept Hillary out of the White House. For this, I’m grateful. But he lost in 2018, lost bigly in 2020, and 2022 is looking like a catastrophe (unless you’re Ron DeSantis).
Governor DeSantis, re-elected in a sweeping landslide, owes Donald Trump nothing. Most certainly not his fealty.
One of his real enemies is the republican leadership. They were blaming Trump on every channel and especially FOX.Nobody is pointed out the Rubio got the same votes as Desantis. And he did almost nothing. Democrats did not do their normal spend in Florida. They moved around their efforts and let DeSantis get the easy win. Vance and Lake had to scrimp for every dollar they got. The republican leadership is saying this loss is a Trump loss, when they engineered it.
A few years ago, I thought the Florida race was going to be the biggest one of all, as they would want to destroy DeSantis.
Boy was I wrong about that one.

DeSantis is racking up some good points but he’s playing in the local league in a state full of sunshine and retirees enjoying peace. He’s not tested yet in the DC snakepit. He’d be a prime candidate for VP on a 2024 Trump ticket. He’d have 4 years to survey the demons inside the Beltway.

Presidential elections are different than off year elections, for starters. But even if it was an apples to apples comparison, which it's not, Trump's support has definitely dropped since 2020, the evidence is right here on FR. Comments like this make it likely it will now drop even more.
Trump was the best president in my lifetime for a successful presidency, but he is actually a small man compared to Reagan. Did Reagan ever bitch about who gets the credit for anything?? Or unnecessarily attack fellow conservatives?
Sure, Trump needs to defend himself from the enemy left, but someone needs to tell him that his out of control narcissism is minimizing his potential for historic greatness. It doesn’t need to be this way. Unfortunately, Trumps ego, insecure behaviors and childish rants is handicapping the opportunities for conservatives and eroding his own base of support. When/if he announces prior to the Georgia run-off, he will absolutely cut the legs out from under Walker. He needs to wake up and look at the mess around him that he helped create. I love Trump but he needs to STFU!
Desantis won’t make it clear he is not running. Ron also backed the TDS a$$hole in CO. Ron needs to step up.

This thread is rather amusing… It’s almost like people running around with a net trying to catch a raging out of control pit bull that’s rampaging the neighbourhood but that they themselves had a hand in raising (enabling) since it was a baby… And nobody can control it now. :-)
Rember, wehting the swamp. DeSantis has already been to DC. He did not fight the Swamp. Rubio is a swamp mouth piece. The swamp is making deals to keep Trump (the anti-swamp candidate) out. They will take a republican if they have to. But it will be a pro-swamp republican.
I tend to agree. The DNC and GOPe will treat Desantis with kid gloves long enough to damage Trump.
If Desantis gets the 2024 presidential nomination they will throw everything they’ve got at destroying him just like they have toward Trump.
The GOPe would like to split the conservative vote in the primaries between Trump and Desantis so they can run another Romney-McCain.
Completely wrong in my opinion. DeSantis is surging in support and Trump keeps shooting himself in both feet. All those vaccine boosters might be setting in on his brain. This has a long ways to play out but may the best man (or last one standing) win.
