Donald Trump is my favorite President, even more so than Ronald Reagan.
However, I think I’m moving on from him.
I like him in the role of a clarion-calling standard bearer, and his presidency was the best I have ever seen.
I don’t like him in terms of his failure to be a team player. I’m not even sure I like him as a kingmaker. Calling out numbers to make him look good, in a severely-disappointing election shows me he doesn’t care about the boots on the ground, but only how he looks.
Reagan faced the same Establishment hate and Media mocking, but he had a great way of playful rebuttal, with a twinkle in his eye and a little smile. America loved that. All the attacks mustered against him, failed, because he was able to gently turn it around on his attacker with a witty quip or a well thought out fact.
Reagan was also the author of the phrase, the 11th commandment, which was “Thou shall not attack a fellow Republican.”
Trump, on the other hand, has a serious ego problem. He cannot resist getting into a public verbal fight with anyone who criticizes him. While this was fresh and new in 2016, and propelled him into the presidency, it doesn’t work in 2022.
Also, the way Trump fights back is not nearly as good as Reagan’s style. Trump hasn’t got the charm of Reagan, and it’s beginning to hurt our side.
It is for these reasons that I must move on from Donald Trump. Sir, thank you for your incredibly wonderful service in 2016 through 2020. You made those years prosperous and sane. But it is time to move on.
I’m likely to get a ton of flak for this post. That’s okay, I can take it.

If Trump has the dirt, Deep State likely has the dirt. Maybe something related to his year at Darlington School. Trump is a New Yawker. My first exposure to the breed was in basic training. My initial reaction was “WTF is the matter with these people?” After a while, you kinda figure it out, and just go with it.

I posted recently about how EverTrumpers, before Trump, used to zing Klintoon and other types for several things, including lack of MIL service, screwing around on wives (multiple), etc.
For the love of Trump, suddenly all that moral high ground went down in the pit.

Maybe. Would it be better for Trump to expose what he might have on him, or wait for DeSantis to get the nomination, and have Deep State expose it? Either way, if DJT has the goods, he should have kept his mouth shut. But that’s really not his way.
That's crazy. I'm always amazed when someone references me outside of FR. That someone made a shirt about me, staggers the imagination.
I do know someone that named their cat after me.
I can just picture: "Honey, that G** DAMNED Lazamataz spilled the milk all over the counter again! AND he pooped in the sink."
And that's just what they'd say about ME. Imagine what they'd say about the CAT.

If Trump runs, if his platform aligns, in full or in part, (depending on what parts) with what I believe is best, I’ll support him, and so should you.
If you wanted to find fault with potentially supporting Trump, it’s that he selected a bunch of traitors (granted, that was not HIS plan) to be in his administration. He should address that if he decides to run again.
Other than that, I think that perhaps you’re affected by the emotion of the moment, and should perhaps temper your lack-of-enthusiasm on Trump and see if he runs in 2024.
What you appear to be saying (and I’m sure you aren’t trying to say it) is more in line with Mitch McConnell than it is with what would be best for America. There is plenty of time to moderate our knee-jerk reactions. Is Trump annoying? Sure he is. Will he undermine the Constitution and our way of life? I don’t believe he would for a second, and I cannot say that about either the majority of Republicans or Democrats.
THAT is the problem, not Trump being annoying, in my opinion. But we each have our opinions, and I respect yours, even if it appears to align with the RINOs.

If you type in “I’m with Lazamataz” in the duck and hit Images, a lot of your memes you’ve posted show up. I suppose mine will also.
