We do NOT have a professional legislature. They meet for three months every two years and receive a pittance for their work (plus a per diem) only while they are in session. They are good folks.

Congress once operated like this...AND, they lived in hellish boarding houses while in session. They could not wait to get back to their districts, the homes, their farms, their shops.
It would be great if we returned to that system.

Verily! I point out that when the 'Rats made Papa Joe Bitem their prez candidate, I posted that it was a plan to discourage people from voting, proving that they could nominate an ape AND get it elected AND there is nothing that anyone could do about it. This is manifesting time and time again.
I suspect that Bitem is a 'holder' until Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez becomes of age; there are a number of billionaires willing to dig into their fortunes to get her elected; she is controllable.

So, we’ve seen the obscene rules they made up in 2020 and prior. Yes, you’re allowed to duck in close enough to read an envelope, then move back to the observation monitor to check for a match.
Previously (and on Tuesday), poll challengers sometimes brought binoculars to get around that or the old covid 6’ rule. But it’s ridiculous, the fraud was so blatant at this point. The nearby production facility must have run out of tan ballot envelopes, as white ones started showing up (“must’ve been for same day absentee“).
It did almost seem like some workers were trying to just get through the night, like they knew they were busted and just going through the motions at this point.
