Trump surrounded himself with imbeciles, backstabbers, and Deep State stooges ensuring the Swamp became more powerful than ever. He lost the House. Achieving the impossible, his idiotic decision to implore Georgian voters to stay home lost the Senate as well.

Let’s see. He handed the country over to Fauci and Birx, allowing them to destroy his once juggernaut economy. He passed a bumpstock ban. He tried to pass a $500 billion reparations package to blacks. He mailed everyone Covid checks, kicking off the inflation spiral. He got kicked off social media and then booted out of the White House, leaving behind him a Deep State stronger than ever before.

**************************************

Well said, but you forgot all the swamp people he also endorsed. I love how so many people are incensed that Desantis might have talked Kevin Mccarthy, but I’m pretty sure it was Trump, not Desantis, that that just endorsed him for Majority leader.

I would vote for him again if there was no other choice. However, I won’t be voting for him in the primary.
He did some really good things and had some really good ideas, but he also made some really bad decisions that left us in a worst place than when we started.

And when reelected it will be Deja Vue all over again.

While a great President, he failed to de3stroy his enemies and they will do it all over again

People here are all butthurt that DeSantis endorsed O'Dea in Colorado fearing O'Dea will become another Mitt Romney while seemingly forgetting that Trump himself endorsed Mitt Romney. And after Mitt Romney became an outspoken anti-Trumper!

Republicans have to win by the margin by which the Democrats traditionally cheat. Trump didn’t.

That is often the case with fighters. Patton, Truman, MacArthur etc... Trump’s nature is to fight. Cautious leaders don’t succeed as often as those whose first instinct is to advance. Unfortunately, it can be messy.

We are fighting a vicious group of ideologues, and I can’t see who could have brought the Rats/Rinos to their present state of hysteria, other than Trump.

I admire Trump, I support Trump, I voted for Trump, and I agree, we stand on his shoulders today. But I’m not a disciple of Trump. His disciples seem like jerks.

This isn’t about Trump’s feelings, it’s about what was done to our country and her people.

Exactly right. It amazes me how so many Conservatives are easily led astray by trivial BS instead of remaining focused like a laser on THE most important issue in American politics today, which is to get the criminals now in power thrown out of OUR government!

You are ascribing a negative term, “hero-wirship”, to what can also be described as a methodical, reasoned, practical, strategic decision to support a candidate based on analyzed history, facts, opposing choices, etc. Sounds like a put-down and a lazy conclusion. Chin up!

They refuse to admit to any imperfections in him
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Chattering about the man’s imperfections is EXACTLY what America’s enemies now in power WANT us to do. Here’s some (obvious) advice. Determine who is running for office that is MOST LIKELY to do what is in your best interests and for God’s sake do NOT badmouth that person for anything. The bast*rds now wrecking our country will be doing that 24/7!

Wrong. They love it when his supporters act as though he's perfect because it makes it easy to portray them as fanatics/lunatics/"shoot someone on the street and I'll still vote for you" types. It feeds the leftist narrative about his supporters being delusional.

Nothing wrong with acknowledging your candidates imperfections, then explaining why other things outweight them. Some Trump supporters her do that, and they sound reasonable. Then others blow a gasket at any hint of criticism, and they don't.

I'm a DeSantis guy, but I admit his delivery on stump speeches needs work. Content is great, divery isn't. And it needs to improve if he wants to win the Presidency someday.

See? That wasn't hard.

You can add Ambrose Burnside at Fredericksburg to that list. And remember that MacArthur's arrogance and massive ego resulted in disaster in Korea in 1950.

Nothing wrong with being aggressive as long as you're smart about it. But being aggressive and not smart is a recipe for absolute disaster.

Good points...I believe the present frenzied state of the Rats/Rinos is directly attributable in large part to Trump’s leadership. Based on that, I’ll give him my undivided support- until a more effective fighter comes along. For now, I’ll observe DeSantis and grant that he has tremendous potential, provided he can navigate clear of Neocon/Rino shoals etc...

Sanctimonious would be an insult, but he said desanctimonious.

You don’t have to lecture me.

I just don’t like hypocrisy, which I see heavily here. Those who make the most noise tended to spout those principles (including not screwing around and having one wife), but when Trump came suddenly what they pontificated about for Klintoon and Bushes and Uhbama was immaterial.

I’m not big on Trump, never was, but would vote for him regardless. Just prefer something else.

Oh come on.

It’s a play on words; I guarantee Trump is not thinking “oh, he is NOT sanctimonious or he is defusing sanctimony”.

It is meant as another name-calling opportunity.
