King Charles “travels with his childhood teddy bear,” it has been claimed.
The 73-year-old monarch is still so attached to his old toy he won’t let anyone else try to fix it when the cuddly creature gets damaged due to wear and tear apart from his old nanny, biographer Christopher Andersen has claimed.
Christopher – who will release new book ‘The King’ later this month – said: “He still travels with a childhood teddy bear. He’s had it since he was a very small child… The only person who’s been allowed to mend King Charles’ teddy bear is his childhood nanny, Mabel Anderson, who he remains very close to.”
The author claimed the king also always travels with a special ice tray because of a “quirk” he shares with other members of the royal family.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I think one of the funniest quirks — a number of royals have this, the queen had it as well — they don’t like square ice cubes.
“They carry around ice cube trays, have them brought with them wherever they go, because they don’t like the clinking sound that square cubes make.”
According to Christopher, Charles “travels with a custom-made toilet seat” and, people told him the monarch prefers meals cooked by his own chef, no matter where he is, though he claimed the king has denied this.
He said: “People who work in the palace, people who have worked for him, say that… when he goes to dinner parties at other people’s homes he often brings his own chef, so they can prepare a meal for him that he’ll eat separately at the table.
“He wants what he wants when he wants it.”
After taking the throne in September following the death of Queen Elizabeth, the author predicted the new king will be ready to make “some bold moves”.
He said: “He’s been waiting for 70 years to take this job. That’s longer than any previous monarch… He’s already taken some moves to slim down the monarchy a bit… He just sold 15 of his mother’s cherished race horses… There will be other cutbacks. They will be looking and touring some of the palaces and museums…
“If the monarchy survives and flourishes, it will be because of Charles. If it doesn’t, it will be because of Charles. Everything hinges on what King Charles III becomes.”
If I had to put up with the shizzle that goes along with being born into that role, I would insist on my own chef as well.

Is the teddy bear’s name Camilla? Or is that the name of his lapdog?
Who needs Monty Python when you have King Charles???
The guys a perpetual sketch…

That one I understand.
“They carry around ice cube trays, have them brought with them wherever they go, because they don’t like the clinking sound that square cubes make.”
Hah! The lizard people can’t stand high frequency sounds. I knew it! David Icke was right!
Seriously, the dude has problems.
Is this suppose to endear me to royalty..because it doesn’t.

What’s the story on the “custom made toilet seat”?
Never mind, I really don’t want to know.
The teddy bear isn’t for him…
If he has a special toilet seat, will reinstitution of the office “Groom of the Stool” be forthcoming?
The guy’s weird, it’s never been a secret.
I have a stuffed dog I’ve had since 1969, known as “New Dog” because it was given to my older brother to replace a lost “Old Dog,” but he didn’t accept the substitution. And I have the stuffed cat my father had in the nursing home before he died: “Dad’s Kitty.”
I’ll take Dad’s Kitty on visits to my mom, but I take New Dog on campouts.
It’s better than what Chris Christie has done with toilets on the campaign trail:

I sympathize with King Charles and his teddy bear. It’s a symbol of security, safety and warmth when feeling insecure, a form of stability throughout life. I still have my childhood panda bear (my mom must have been into stuffed panda bears over the traditional teddy bear) for which I’m grateful. I have always loved panda bears, especially my old stuffed childhood one.
Mine looks as ancient as it is, probably almost 70 years old now, faded looking, but still a source of great comfort when I look at my panda. Brings back good memories; panda has been my sidekick in my journey over the years. Wherever I went in life, panda was there too.
So Charles, I completely understand the comfort your teddy bear brings you, and it’s a good thing, not something that should have been presented by a publicity seeking author of a book about the King that he is about to spring on the public. The author is doing what he can to demean the new King, and that disgusts me.
And? We all have our little rituals and amulets to make us feel safe. Decades ago, people used to purchase and collect Rabbit’s Feet on a keychain ‘for good luck’. The hard, bony feet were dyed all sorts of different colors.
I had a blue rabbits foot and a switchblade I usually kept in my levi pockets. When you think about it, the Rabbit’s Foot didn’t make any sense, did it? But we gave it what you call
‘intrinsic value’, meaning we decided to bestow a value on it.
