ransomnote: Yes. I think the Q drop indicates that the NG are for show. Checking some of the states which chose to activate their NG, the first few were blue/Deep State owned. But who is to say if white hat governor activated NG in some states and black hat governor activated some on other states. There was no centralized activation - just states choosing to activate.
Hate to say it but it may be the final proof that the military is the only way - corrupt election 2022.

Was tracking the P8/P3 last night around the time Trump was speaking in Ohio.
Caught sight of a “United States Air Force Dornier C-146A Wolfhound” inbound from Panama City.
Destination was “data secured” but flight ended around midnight. I saw it over Key West, last, at 2000.
Asked a few with “knows” about the plane.
Seems to be used by the USAF to ferry around the Air Force SpecOps teams and equipment for missions.

Clouds grew thicker, so I packed up my gear and went in the house. I’ll peek out once or twice, but it’s time that I got some rest, I think.
Oh well, I did learn to use the tracking mount for the camera and lens - that moon stayed centered pretty much the entire hour or so that I was out there. Very little movement.
65F, clouds coming in over the Cumberland plateau. I thought they were going to stay parted, but they did not.

Awesome - thanks for the update. I’ll step out on the front porch to see if I can see it. If I get a clear sky between now and bed time, I’ll crank up the ISO on the camera and take a handheld shot of the moon. Better than nothing.

Tried to photo from phone through binoculars.
Will review later...likely too fuzzy.
Problem with handheld is that the eclipsed moon is VERY dark, and requires a lot more exposure than the full moon. And my lens is large and unwieldy. Granted, it has image stabilization, but there’s only so much that can do. And I was counting on the tracking mount to allow me to use a long exposure to gather the necessary light instead of higher ISO settings (which is basically the camera amplifying what light it does “see”).
My phone uses a rudimentary image-stabilization but once it’s fully dark, there is no “point of light” for the stabilizer to “focus” on.
I did get a photo of my backyard under full moonlight.
Will get one under full eclipse for contrast.
Stepped outside to see what I could see. Full on cloud cover here in SoCal for election day. It never rains in California, but we are entering the second day of all day rain and clouds. Cannot see the moon or anything else for that matter. Looking forward to your pictures.
Interesting facts for the night shift...
Operation Shock and Awe was initiated under new moon.
Every military in the world prefers to operate on foreign soil when no moonlight is present.
We are about to fall under minimum light from the moon this morning.
The USAF had a SpecOps bird arriving in the US around midnight.

I’m getting slivers of the fully lit moon here and there between the clouds, but I’m not seeing the red. But I’m determined to at least spot it out there. I’ve photographed them before, but this is my first time using the equatorial tracking mount. It’s basically a cheap version of what higher dollar telescopes use.
