I apologize for the Vanity upfront. That said, can we come up with a list of movies that don't lecture about climate, race, abortion 'rights', sexuality, intolerance, 'migrants' etc.? I fully realize there are lots of crucial issues facing all of us and that this is not that important, but when occasionally looking for at least an hour or two of escape it would be nice to not have to be assaulted by the left's agenda.
It’s a really great movie with a good story and some good laughs.

“Hail, Caesar!” — the Coen Brothers’ not-just-non-but-anti-Woke paean to the studio system of 1950s movies.
I find the noir films entertaining, but they tend to promote sympathy for criminals.
You've reminded me to finally check that out. Big fan of Klugman in Quincy M.E., but for some reason still haven't gotten around to watching Twelve Angry Men.
All those wonderful, cheesy sci-fi and horror films from the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s =>

Currently re-watching I, CLAUDIUS series with Derek Jacobi et al. Just great historical melodrama, no lectures.
The Left Hand of God (with Bogart) is one of my favorites, but not without with some reservations/criticisms I will exclude to reduce spoiler risk.
Along Came Jones. “Gary Cooper”. Vera Cruz. “Gary Cooper and Burt Lancaster” The Scalp Hunters. Burt Lancaster, Telly Savalas, and Shelly Winters. They are all old westerns. Non-western. Too Kill A Mockingbird. Guess who plays Boo Radley. 😀
Robert Duvall.
The World’s Fastest Indian
Great flick.
