There is an up to date TV version of ‘3 Days of the Condor’ which I viewed a few months ago. It was on NETFLIX or Prime, cannot recall which. I do not think that I saw it all as it must have been limited time available. I think that it was ‘6 days of the Condor.’

I might check again to see if it is back.

BTW, I dumped Netflix many months ago but someone in the household renewed it and it showed up on my ROKU, so I still have it.

There is a TV show called “Condor”, which is available on the Epix channel. It is based on the novel “Six Days of the Condor” by James Grady and its 1975 film adaptation “Three Days of the Condor.” There are 2 seasons so far.

As I recall, some celebrity types were getting more than one course of treatment with this drug.

This Is Why You DO NOT Use EUA’d Things….

Karl Denninger

….. except in truly extraordinary circumstances.

Where’s my sign again????

The review paper says that interactions between Paxlovid and certain blood thinners can cause an increased risk of bleeding. Interactions between Paxlovid and some cholesterol medications such as statins can be toxic to the liver, and interactions between Paxlovid and certain blood pressure medications could cause low blood pressure, flushing and swelling.

Incidentally the part that causes this appears to be the ritonavir, an AIDS medication that has been used for a long time and thus that it had potentially dangerous interactions with other drugs has been known for over a decade.

The Doctor Oz campaign statement is perfect.

I can not disagree with his view of covid .

“The urgency of my decision crystalized during the pandemic.

At least half a million American people have died from the virus, a devastating toll for families and communities.

What also hurts is that many of those deaths were preventable.

Covid-19 became an excuse for government and elite thinkers who controlled the means of communication,

especially social media and our major news agencies, to suspend debate.

Dissenting opinions from leading scholars, even Nobel Laureates, were cancelled and ridiculed so their ideas could not be disseminated.

Doctors were forbidden from prescribing legal medications for the first time in our nation’s history.

I tried to fund clinical trials to re-purpose an already widely used drug for possible benefits against Covid-19,

but they were banned. Instead, government mandated policies that caused unnecessary suffering.”

"postponing the OPEC+ decision for a month"

This is extremely damning. In Trump's case, the "victim" of the quid pro quo (Zelensky) emphatically denied that there was any suggestion of a quid pro quo. In Biden's case, the victim is formally accusing the US of just that. https://t.co/ML4XBOH65p— Hans Mahncke (@HansMahncke) October 13, 2022

Lancet Commission Report: 6 Reasons COVID Response “A Massive Global Failure”

Quite the about-face…

The Commission identified six major areas of failures, namely failures of prevention, failures of rationality, failures of transparency, failures to follow normal public health practice, failures of operational cooperation, and failures of international solidarity.

Due to these failures, social sustainability goals were set back a few years and 17.2 million lives were lost.

Reply to Seneca the Elder Greetings Seneca the Elder!

Many thanks for the link!

Your essay today reminds me of Carlo Cipolla’s Laws of Basic Stupidity which began as a kind of satire, but has become all too real!

“…Countries decline, because of stupidity. Society ends up damaged beyond repair, but that’s not due to the sheer number of stupid people. Rather, it’s in the nature of their stupidity.

“It would be a profound mistake to believe the number of stupid people in a declining society is greater than in a developing society. Both such societies are plagued by the same percentage of stupid people.” — Carlo M. Cipolla

In a declining society, stupid people are allowed by others to take more actions. Their power increases. They then drag everyone down with them. In a way, this reflects the observations (men) like Polybius made over two thousand years ago. Politics moves in cycles.

A democracy usually tends to descend into ochlocracy. That’s when stupidity takes over.”

However, “ochlocracy” (Ancient Greek for “mob rule”) is not what we have today, but an attempt at a worldwide oligarchy (rule by a few elitists).

Are the oligarchs ignorant fools? Their minions are, but they know exactly what they want and how to do it!

Here is a link to the Diamond Princess Covid crapola. I have been to this site multiple times and probably within a day of it first being posted. This whole sordid crapfest started in the last week of January 2020 when the virus was it’s most virulent. Wikipedia, true to form, has allowed the death totals to change upwards from the original 5 or 6. Pay attention to the AGES of the passengers!!! The death total was/is NOT “2%”. They are cooking the books … AGAIN! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_pandemic_on_Diamond_Princess

Colbert, Fauci, and the Externalization of Mental Illness OCTOBER 12, 2022

https://brownstone.org/articles/colbert-fauci-and-the-externalization-of-mental-illness/

Many Americans suffer from anxiety disorders or have mind-bending insecurities. It’s sad. And broadly consequential. v I heard that Steven Colbert had Tony Fauci on his show last week. Though I seldom watch TV, I wondered how either of these two individuals might now explain their prior promotion of injections that have not only failed but have been temporally linked to tens of thousands of serious injuries, deaths and declining fertility. So I viewed these cheesy twelve TV minutes on YouTube; at 2x speed, so as not to waste any more time than I had to.

Mental illness was on full display.

To begin, the plainly anxiety-ridden Colbert introduced Fauci as the government official “whose level-headed guidance took us through the Pandemic.”
