Agreed. I was trying to isolate the "Hard need" for USD, meaning there is no possibility of substitution unless the current players surrender (i.e., oil producers in U.S., UK and their protectorates in the Mideast; U.S Navy et al.; and U.S. taxing authorities).
This is basically what the entire U.S./China geopolitical struggle is about. Crypto is useful for underground and criminal economy obviously, but in the above-ground world such as you also mentioned, crypto is as significant as a fart in a windstorm.

Egg McMuffin tried to sue some GOP group for putting out some ads, it’s alright for him to do it, but don’t let anyone else do it...
I wish McDonalds would find their ‘egg mcmuffin’ and either make him cheaper or take him off the menu and throw him in the trash, either one would be good...
If it's even close to being clear out, I'll be outside with the big lens and tripod, photographing the eclipse. I might even use my cheap tracking mount for the lens so that I can take longer exposures without showing motion blur.
