New Jersey teacher interviews 4th graders on 'they/them' pronouns on TikTok: 'Indoctrinating my students'

A New Jersey teacher interviewed and recorded 4th-grade students on the educator's "non-binary" "they/them" pronouns and posted the videos on a public TikTok account over the course of several months.

Nairobi Colon, an art teacher who works in the KIPP charter school system in The Garden State, posted videos responding to critical comments from users who accused the educator of "grooming" students with gender ideology. The teacher has racked up over 600,000 followers on her TikTok.

One of the videos of Colon discussing pronouns with students was shared to the official KIPP Facebook page. The post said Colon worked for KIPP Whittier Middle School in Camden.

Colon wrote on one of her videos in March, "'Indoctrinating my students.'"

"What are my pronouns, y'all?" the teacher said to students.

"They/them," the children responded collectively.

In another video, Colon prompted a student to respond to a TikTok comment accusing the educator of "grooming a child."

"[Name redacted], do I have power over you?" the teacher asked.

The student responded, "No. You could tell me something, but I don't have to necessarily need to do it."

I will say it again-—pull your kids out of the public schools and fight these unconstitutional property taxes. At least the schools will lose state and federal funds.

And don’t give me that “we can’t afford it”. Find a way-—home school-—do whatever. We literally had no life when we pulled our kids out of the public schools. If you leave them in the school system, you WILL lose them in one capacity or another. No amount of money in the world will change your kids after they’re indoctrinated!

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

I know it is not a pronoun but it works for whatever this “thing” is.

So they’re too busy to teach cursive writing - but this they can find plenty of time for?

So glad I have no kids in public school these days...

If I were required to go to a Democrat/RINO teachers/principal school meeting about how all students will use preferred pronouns during school, my response would be that I only have two preferred pronouns and they are "f*** you" and I'd walk out. It's such an asinine, moronic concept those are the only three words (as the senile Sleepy Joe puppet would say) I would use in my response.

Talking about Biden's "two words" ("Made in America"), now even the far-far-left SNL and the even further-left Trevor Noah (of the Daily Show), as well as a quickly growing list of far-lefties, are now heavily bashing Sleepy Joe's complete cluelessness. What abruptly changed? Well, the Democrat/RINO powers-that-be have sent out new directions to all Democrats/RINOs across the nation - We have decided that our senile Sleepy Joe puppet will not run for reelection in 2024. We don't know who will be our candidate but we know it won't be the Laughing Hyena. Just like we predetermined that we would remove President Trump from the Oval Office in November 2020, we've now decided our senile Sleepy Joe puppet will be removed from the Oval Office in January 2025.

IMHO, Democrats/RINOs run the show. The lame Republicans in contrast seem totally incapable of accomplishing anything positive. Ok, DeSantis did send 50 illegal immigrants to Martha's Vineyard but I'm talking about things on a grand scale. Own the White House, own the Senate, own the House of Reps, own many other top political positions throughout the country. And illegal immigrants continue pouring across the border. Is there anything that Republican "leaders" are accomplishing? I don't really see much from them at all.

No language has individual pronouns. Everybody in the world has a name. The name isn’t necessarily unique, but is sufficient to uniquely identify most of the people that we will encounter and have dealings with.

Many people have trouble remembering names. My strategy for remembering names after I’m introduced to a person is to jot them down with a little description of the person. This works well. But what if I forget a name? Will I be hauled off to the language police? No. Everyone understands and knows quite well that everyone forgets names and it’s not a crime.

So, if names are hard to remember, then what about pronouns? Why should they be any easier to remember? Why isn’t there the same benevolent understanding as for forgetting names?

If they don’t fire you for misnaming someone, then why the blazes are they firing people for forgetting pronouns?

I object to the fascism.

Completely untrue.

All 3 of our kids attended public schools. All completed college and have strong careers. All are staunch conservative patriots.

We attended school board meetings. We met with the principal to call out and challenge teachers who tried to teach leftist propaganda.

The fight is in the public schools. Pulling your kids out allows the indoctrination of the majority of future voters to continue unopposed.

Stand and fight!
