Do you find it odd, at the very least, that while there are direct threats of nuclear attacks by the leader of Russia, here in the US it is pretty much business as usual? I mean by that there is nothing during this hour like the fears in America I remember as a 20-year-old back during the so-called Cuban Missile Crisis of October 1962.

Twasn’t a twinkle in my Dad’s eye yet. I think a third of them are hoping for it to end thier own miserable existence, 17% have taken notice. The rest in the forest and are complaining about 401k stocks, gas, food and the price of everything else.

Putin said if Russian soil were attacked, he could respond with nukes.

Of course now 4 regions of former Ukraine are now Russia. I don’t think Bitem’s limited control of the military will allow certain things.

Distinct possibility that nuclear war would not be allowed. I think people sense this.

Back in the '60s, nuclear war seemed almost inevitable. After all ... every weapon system eventually gets used, right?

But no one thinks this anymore.

The U.S. has had numerous examples where control of our silos was temporarily assumed by others. I think Cap Weinberger talked about this. Doubtless other nuclear powers have also experienced this.

Norks' nuke test was a dud. Then their mountain collapsed. Secret weapons of the U.S.? (or something else?)

Suitcase nukes from collapsed USSR supposedly in the wild. Terrorists with big money, not to mention cartels and some very large criminal organizations. But NOTHING happens.

WHY?
