Hi Rusty....they’re likely getting more sleep than Nana! Actually, doing great. Little pumpkin is good as gold - eats, sleeps, fills her diaper, makes little noises, looks around a bit, goes back to sleep. Only cries when she’s getting changed because she’s cold. So far, so good.
Election day up here today. We’ll find out tonight how daughter and SIL did - they sure did work hard. We were sitting having a glass of wine of the deck tonight (nice weather here last few days) and they were saying how surprised they were when they knocked on doors, and the number of people who would just ask them if they were “woke”. They’d just say NO, and were told “You’ve got my vote then”, and closed the door. Lol nice to hear that the rural and small town population out this way are so aware!

I have mixed feelings. What I have prayed about all this is that if winning this is going to be detrimental to her family in any way, and cause her more angst than she can easily deal with, then it’s best to NOT win.
I was surprised to hear some of the dirty little tricks that got pulled in this race, by the guy who’s been in there for over 20 years. I guess he hasn’t come up against anyone who actually gave him a run for his money, and it brought out the entitled elitist in him. When I think about the nastiness and bullying that went on in this silly little race in rural/small town Ontario, I can’t even imagine what goes on in the big races. It must bring out the most vile side of people, if all were known.
