Rusty.....I have to be fair. It may have a particular taste for breakfast, but in the afternoon with a cup of tea, it could take on an entirely different texture or flavor. Then, after dinner, I have to see how it pairs with vanilla ice-cream. This is not an easy process....I am a little disappointed in the lack of empathy for me for taking on such a burdensome task. Would that you were all here to help me.

Now, tomorrow is our Thanksgiving. I am going to make our traditional Peach Cobbler, along with a pumpkin pie. We’re having ham, scalloped potatoes, corn, salad, and whatever else my daughter conjures up. Although these days, she’s so busy that we won’t have all the dishes we usually do. We’ll be lucky if she remembers to put the ham in the oven lol.
Plus the new one is supposed to arrive very soon (checkup last week said it would be this week, but it hasn’t happened yet). I suspect it will be just before dinner tomorrow lol.

My son and his should-be wife are having a baby. Due date October 11th, but doctors said it should happen this week. They said that last week lol. So, any time.
Lol we were all sitting down to a big, stuffed turkey every Thanksgiving for years. Then we decided to add a nice spiral ham a few years ago. Everyone wanted the ham, and then most of the guys finally spoke up and said they really didn’t care that much for turkey. They like the stuffing and gravy, but could do without the turkey. So now we’ve not bothered with the turkey.....I do miss the stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, but the way my daughter does the scalloped potatoes is so good.

I can only eat dark meat of the turkey. Yes, I prefer ham or leg of lamb. I do like corning game hens, good with dressing.
We had about a half dozen turkeys roaming around the farm, all of which were supposed to be killed, cleaned and eaten for Thanksgiving or Christmas or frozen. Since everyone has informed us that they don’t care that much for turkey, these birds think they’ve died and gone to turkey heaven, rather than just dying. They’re big and fat and walk around all day. They used to come and squawk at my door for bread every day, but I have chased them away enough now that they don’t bother. It was fun to see them and feed them old bread, but the mess they left behind was not worth the amusement.
Florida Surgeon General Recommends Against mRNA COVID-19 Vaccines For Males Aged 18–39
The new guidance came after the Florida Department of Health carried out an analysis to evaluate vaccine safety, the department said in a bulletin on Friday.
The statewide analysis of vaccinated Florida residents aged 18 years or older (pdf) found an 84 percent increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related deaths among males aged 18–39, within 28 days of mRNA vaccination.
“Non-mRNA vaccines were not found to have these increased risks,” the Florida Department of Health noted.
Given the high level of global immunity to COVID-19, the benefit of vaccination with mRNA vaccines “is likely outweighed by this abnormally high risk of cardiac-related death among men in this age group,” the department said.
“As such, the State Surgeon General recommends against males aged 18 to 39 from receiving mRNA COVID-19 vaccines,” it said. “Those with preexisting cardiac conditions, such as myocarditis and pericarditis, should take particular caution when making this decision.”
“Far less attention has been paid to safety and the concerns of many individuals have been dismissed—these are important findings that should be communicated to Floridians,” Ladapo said in a statement, referring to the analysis.
