As yummy as that looks, lysie, I’m going with a big ol’ slice of apple pah this morning. This is completely necessary as I have to decide if butter pastry is better than lard. The results are in - I’m sticking with the lard pastry. It’s flakier and easier to slice through, and the difference in flavor is negligible.
