There’s a couple of us X-ers that possess incredible resourcefulness and critical thinking skills.
Broad brushed knowing there will be “exceptions to the rule”.
X-ers are, to me, a tweener group.
Most (another broad brush, see above) will see a problem and then rely on what someone else’s experience [a computer/database] spits back at them.
[X-ers are the all-in group for Sentient AI]
Again, a resolution outside of themselves.
They don’t get the value of seeing the full cause of the problem, it just gets fixed.
Example: How to clear a stopped-up toilet with a plunger.
YooToob doesn’t tell you that your daughter’s (?? son’s ??) disposing of tampons in the toilet is the cause.
In today’s wired world, I’m guilty of this too.
But, not the tampon thing...
Absolutely! As latchkey kids, your only option was to call your parents at work, where they would tell you to figure it out yourself.
My daughter is a strong conservative and ultra resourceful. Not all younger-uns are ruined, look at Trump’s rallies - plenty of younger-uns.
(I did raise my kids without TV and mostly home schooled...)
