We haven't had any depth charges in 33 years. The last one was a nuke.
Why is everyone around here so hot to think that the US Navy would attack the energy infrastructure that an ally, Germany, needs to survive?
Is it so worth it to hurt Russia that you would find it acceptable to do so much harm to so many people? There are going to be at least some in Germany that will die this winter that wouldn't otherwise have died. There will be tens of thousands families that will have their finances devastated by just the increase in prices for the energy they need.
Germans will be paying roughly 10x what we will for NG and 5x+ what we will for electricity. This doesn't even count those who will lose work because there simply aren't the energy inputs needed to keep there employers functioning. Those will be hit doubly hard.

I wouldn’t say we’re “hot” to think the Navy did it - but there is evidence we were in the area via flight/ship tracker data for the P-3, ships, and helos around the time in question.
The proximity in conjunction with policy maker statements is enough to create suspicion that we were involved in some way.
Perhaps only flying cover, without knowledge, for deep state actors to have free rein during the timeframe in question without having knowledge of what was going on.

It’s our government and it’s leadership. I don’t trust them to do anything right, and in fact, they’ve been reliably wrong since they stole the election.
I don’t find it acceptable. But the WEF is calling the shots now, it seems.

A big problem would be decompression times. If the divers were at 200 ft+, they would have a long decompression time on the way up to avoid the bends. If it was shallower you could use a pressure chamber to help reduce time in the water, but the smallest ones that I have seen are too large for the Navy Helos (example - https://baytechrentals.com/product/double-lock-decompression-chamber-std/ )
