Many of the newer EV chemistries are Cobalt free. Even if they were not, batteries make up less than 3% of Cobalt market share. Most Cobalt is used in medial implants, magnetics (such as high fidelity speakers, pacemakers, and hearing aids) and the balance is used in the semi-conductor business. But the bulk consumer is medical implant alloys

Should call it the BZZZT.

That's the sound it'll make as it catches fire and burns your house down.

Electric Cars and Trucks have a place, as do hydrogen cars.

The Govt has used our tax dollars to Subsidize this new Tech and that is maybe ok.

At this time the market can easily decide what is the best value for people.

I only have 3 cars, which is the least I have had for a long time.

Each car has a specific purpose and I drive them depending on that.

I have considered adding an EV to my fleet, but I don’t yet see the benefit.

I never saw the benefit of changing out my incandescent bulbs for mercury filled florescent ones, but today I use mostly LED bulbs because they make all kinds sense, and the Govt did not even have to make me do it.

I still use some incandescent bulbs but that is cause they make better sense in those specific use cases, and it upsets me that the govt is actively trying to ban them

Rooting for Toyota. They are the ONLY company refusing to stop making gas-powered cars, and the Green Nazis are in an uproar over it. So sick of Tesla and its stupid, reckless dependence on batteries. Toyota CEO said much of the world will and should use gas for the forseeable future, and also wants to make cars with Hydrogen fuel cells, etc. And no plans to even stop making Priuses, which are the most efficient fuel cars. Sensible. So of course the left detests them and some are even boycotting them.

New charging adapter - CCS Combo 1 (CCS1) to Tesla proprietary standard is $250 to use others charge points. Remember when we paid money for the gasoline station adaptor..... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Can’t drive it with the window down even a crack..
I once owned a sweet 87 Supra.
Put 300,000 miles on it and the engine still purred like the day I bought it.
Miss that car...

My main complaint is there are no transition or recycling plans. The only plan the Greens have is outlawing items. No gasoline, no addition electricity production except by unreliable systems.

We went to South Korea over the summer and I was amazed by how many EVs I saw. You can tell the EVs because they have distinctive plates. But almost all of them were Korean...Hyundai and Kia.

There are so many,I was told, because there are low electricity rates for EVs.

The EV Kool aid line is ever growing but I won’t get in the queue. It takes FIVE times the energy to build one of those contraptions. There’s no place to dispose of one ton batteries when their five year shelf life expires. The power that drives the charging stations is mostly coal driven... It’s insanity to support electric vehicles.

Still sad, but expected since we no longer live in the Free World.

And now for a really good tale......

Last night on Acorn, I watched a New Zealand TV series Brokenwood that features murder mysteries. The plot revolved around a dead man that that been strapped to a table and killed by connection to an electric shock apparatus for treating mental disorders.

The problem was that the old building housing the former mental institution had no electric power and hadn’t had for years. The detectives made a search for power sources and just couldn’t find one

They finally found it. A Tesla was driven to near a window and a cable from the amp rich battery was brought into the room and hooked to the shock machine

We had........ murder by Tesla

The company is also the one that dominates many markets because it has cars that people want and do buy

That is, there are people not hung up on archaic thoughts of style
