Same. I’m a SAR member and think it’s fine for them to have both. We separated and moved on. The regent is the dignified and parliament is the efficient, as the Crown put it. Works for them and their citizens/subjects want it, so let it be.

“I think his apparent approach is coming from the heart and reflects a general philosophy.”

Charles has been talking for some time of trimming the Monarchy. I believe I read he tried to get his mother on board but she couldn’t bring herself to do it.

Charles has also been adamant that he won’t be working out of Buckingham Palace. He hates the place because it hasn’t been properly kept up and the living areas are small and dark. He plans to have an office in a nearby building he owns and BP will be used for affairs of state and as a tourist attraction.

“”Overall, I think the pomp and pageantry was fantastic and well deserved for their Queen that reigned 70 years. Well done your Majesty””

I agree! In addition to the great history lessons we got from the coverage...a lot more interesting than from books.

I wished watching all of it that we could have at least ONE leader in this country who would keep their promise/pledge for 2 or 4 or 8 years let alone 70. Think of Biden and his bragging of being in DC for XXX years and what did we get from his experience? ZIP ZERO ZILCH It was ZERO at the time voters signed him up for another 4 years..Guess we’ll see if they’re stupid enough to keep him there or sign him up for even more!!!!

I think ending the Monarchy might well be a relief to some of the Royals. Right now, they not only pay their own way, but the vast bulk of their money contributes to running the British government. Get out of the kinging and queening business, take back all that income, and REALLY live the high life. Many of the palaces are in dire need of maintenance and Parliament doesn’t see fit to allocate enough money for this. Decades ago, they had to sell the Royal Yacht because they didn’t have the money to maintain it. They’d have had the money if they weren’t giving it all to the British taxpayer...

I think the working royal roster has already been reduced in recent years.

Working:

KC III
Camilla
Princess Anne
Prince of Wales
Princess of Wales
Edward and Sophie Wessex

Working but likely to retire soon with no replacement (all are past regular retirement age):

Duke of Kent (his wife the duchess retired years ago)
Duke of Gloucester
Duchess of Gloucester
Princess Alexandra

Gone:

Prince Michael of Kent - retired
Randy Andy
Halfwit
MeGain

Get rid of the fantasy aspects and no little girl will care about the monarchy.

I wonder if his sister will make the cut. She’s pretty low keyed, but I understand she does a lot of charity work.

The public likes Anne, Edward and Sophie. I would be surprised if Charles puts them out to pasture. Charles creating Edward the Duke of Edinburgh (his father’s title which he can now confer on his brother) would be a very popular move.

A good start might be to ease up a wee bit on the bangers and mash.

You going to buy up and destroy every kids fairy tale book?
The British want this, its their business not ours.

I think they are just waiting for William to take over. I must say, I look forward to seeing how William and Kate’s kids grow up, especially Charlotte.

I think Charlotte looks so much like Queen Elizabeth II (her grandmother).

Yes. I agree with you.

Sadly, Biden was installed by the Deep State/NWO. He is a puppet..

They could not have Trump seated for his second term and they saw to it he was not. Terribly sad. I’m not certain how this country is standing at this point.

I’ve been saying that Charlotte looks just like Queen Elizabeth for the last two or three years. Nobody else seemed to think so. Thank you so much for bringing that up. It will be interesting to see what kind of personality Charlotte develops as she gets older.

As Sir Winston Churchill said, “We are two peoples separated by a common language.”

👍
The Crown haters remind me of those kids in grade school that had to have everything their way. Or leftists who tear down what they don’t like.

The Wales gang. I have a feeling all three children will be well-adjusted and successful. No Margaret/Andy/Halfwit-type enabling of bad character and bad behavior by William and Catherine or the Middleton grandparents.
